    http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b017z0sl/HARDtalk_David_Haye/

Talk Vitali, Wlad Buildup, Why he Trashtalks, The Toe Excuse, Fear and the Mentality of Winning, the Fighters 'Killers' Instinct......

For those unfamilaiar with hardtak, it is a 'tough' one-on-one interviewing session and features politicians, actors, musicaians pretty much everyone.

Definitely gives a better insight into David Haye and boxers in general.

What the heck is Haye doing on a program like that. Did they at least get his thoughts on the crisis in the middle east? lol

I've actually seen a few unexpected people on hardtalk like a famous motown singer (cant remember the name), and Simon Jordan (ex Crystal Palace chairman)

Nothing new or that interesting really but it was still a pretty good interview.

    * Haye says he still wants the fight with Vitali if it can be made.

    * The interviewer asks him if he regrets some of the pre-fight comments he's made. Haye says if anything he wishes he was more outspoken earlier on in his career. The bloke asking the question seems amazed at this and tries to get to an understanding of why Haye doesn't really seem to care but doesn't get one.

    * Haye again tries to explain the toe excuse and that he wasn't using it as an excuse, just an explanation was to why he couldn't move properly in the ring. Fair enough IMO.

    * The interviewer blames him for part of boxing's decline following his poor fights against Audley and Wlad. Haye states that he always said he'd win the Harrison fight whenever he wanted.

    * Haye talked a few times about how ruthless he feels he has had to be to be successful at boxing. Talks about being in "killer mode" and wanting to do nothing but hurt his opponent in the ring.

    * He says he wouldn't want his son to box, unless he appeared to be extremely talented and physically gifted. He says unless you're better than 99 out of 100 guys, it's just not worth it long term.

im still a Haye fan .... ish. just hate how he fought like a ***** against Wlad, although getting in the ring with someone withh the advantages that Wlad has defo gets my respect

just needs to fight Vitali now to get some respect back (even if it meamns getting KTFO), he should go down fighting

Hayes a hard man to figure out IMO, a mixture of brutally honest, & utterly delusional. Mix it with that annoying grin & twinkle in his eye, hes as deep as the ocean.

A couple of weeks old but a good show, I like HardTalk - but this isn't the best time to interview Haye really, he has little relevance at the moment. At least it's good to see an articulate boxer.
