I do too. There is a bit of danger in that fight. It's a chance for Haye to also shine. We all know Haye loves to talk lol...

People say he was there for him or that boxer was asking for the fight, no one knows how the negotiating went, its all well saying 'Eddie Chambers was there...' but you don't really know that do you.

Haye hasn't been the type to duck fighters. Say what you want he hasn't before and his first real HW fight is a good test. No matter who he fought he woulda got stick from someone on here.

I know he gets stick for his mouth lol, but he has picked a good first opponent.

    Guinn????
    Guinn is completely suckish!
But I think Chambers would have been a good choice, better than Barrett. But, oddly enough, I think Barret has a better chance of winning than Chambers would.

this was EXACTLY the interview i was talking about... i cant believe so many people dont mind the monte pick, he was talking about just how good his debut opponent was going to be and talking **** just about every fighter.... lol.. and then his pick is... monte?

meh... i guess his goal will be to beat up monte worse then the other guys that beat him? even if he sparks monte out it doesnt really say much to me, bad bad pick IMO.

rafael said barrett and chambers were the 2 final options. and chamber's promoter said they had accepted a deal and were ready to go to england. i don't know what the deal breaker was but chambers was far better opponent imo.

barrett is a decent first opponent but they need to stop the **** talking. i don't want to hear bunce or haye start building this guy up after they basically said he was rubbish.

better than tye fields or getting stopped by couser:rofl :rofl

imho, chambers is a better boxer than haye and has a tight high-guard defense while haye likes to stay low and lean forward. that creates a stylistic advantage for chambers. barrett has heavier hands but fights sloppy and looks to land power shots. haye can catch him flush a lot easier. i expect haye to be very cautious against barrett early though. monte can crack early in fights before his **** stamina kicks in. He buckled valuev early in their fight.

Yea sweet i know what you saying, all i'm saying is that it could just as well be Chambers side that the fight didn't happen as much as it could have been Haye's end.
Chambers promoter will always say what in the best interest of his fighter i.e. he won't say 'my fighter was a chicken, thats why the fight didn't happen', and the same can be said for Adrian Booth. Thats what i mean by no-one really knows what went down.

Many here jump to conclusions and believe the first thing they read, i only look at fights once they have been confirmed, otherwise it's just a waste of my time.

Lol i know what u mean about the talking lol, but the way you have to look at it is that, well thats Haye now. It worked for Hamed and Mayweather, so will work for Haye to make more ££££ as long as he continues winning. Should be a good fight, we will know more about Haye at HW after this one dude :)

haye obviously likes to run his mouth without doing a lot of thinking. He was wrong about barrett, but barrett is a good 1st opponent imo, but i don't know that it should've taken about a year to "fill out" for this fight. I think we can assume that barrett's loss to couser was a fluke that can happen at hw (see JCG vs Diaz for just one example), and I don't know how many posters can credibly list too many more than 10 hw's whom are better than him. As the current landscape IMO looks like this:
    Wlad

povetkin, tied w/ winner of vit/peter
then maybe chagaev, arreola (still a little untested), valuev, and golota in some order
then guys like barrett, toney (who knows off of the rahman fight) sergei and a couple of others in some order

Maybe but there Cintro-Ndou is the co-feature to Taylor-Lacy and I guess that will be televised as well.
