I am a big David Haye supporter but..? I would not go to one of these events, because i think they are gay.

The type of people that go are probably strange people or slags.

Still fair-play to him, he knows his market.

David Haye is a business, and he needs to keep the mug casual buyers happy.

Myself..? I have been pissed off him his actions of late, but understand how he operates.

Due to his decision to fight once per day, he needs give his fans other things.

Some of you are right morons, nothing change there on esb. The bloke did it for his fans, those fans queued up for 4 hours to see him in sept at his gym, there were hundreds that day. How many current boxer would do a free 10-12 hours photo/signing marathon for their fans? How many ever did? And yeah he is an A list celeb, hate/jealousy doesn't do one any good.

He's still popular, but not as popular as he was pre-Toegate. I still think this is a pretty good thing for him to do for his fans.
He doesn't need to be loved by boxing fans any more he's got c list Heat hunk status.
Wouldn't be surprise to see him in more reality shows down the line.

back in my younger days, as I have already told here before, I was lucky enough to go along twice to see a prime Chris Eubank 'open doors' event when he was fighting in Scotland, & we got to watch Chris Eubank doing full pre fight training, a full 12 round sparring session with Chris Pyatt, AND a full Q&A session afterwards with the man himself, followed by photo opportunities, & Eubank was happy to hang around as long as it took to have photos taken with all his fans who turned up, sign gloves, the lot.

You have to remember, Eubank at this point was a household name in the UK, fighting on terrestrial TV. He was a true british boxing star of his time, and STILL unbeaten!

& the price us mere mortals had to pay at the door for all of this?

five quid. Thats right, FIVE quid. Where did this five quid go? Not into Chris Eubanks pockets, but to a charity of Chris's choice. Now THATS value for money, THATS giving back to the fans.:deal

I almost felt guilty looking at that queue of young Haye fans, forming long lines and waiting ages for a quick handshake, whilst having to fork out money for some tacky Haye product, dvd or daft phone game they cannot be arsed with or barely afford in this financial climate just to meet their hero sitting behind a table for a fleeting moment.

David Haye, your fans deserve better.

Listen David Haye is a pioneer.

My last post was abit negative on David Haye.

But people must understand in this day and age, fighters are not just fighters. The really successful fighters understand that they must operate like they are brands and a business.

All individual athletes must have this mentality, they must know when to close deals, and they must know when to perform.

I have been frustrated with David Haye's activity, but that's just how he runs his business.

Big deals, Big Rewards, Big Risks.
