he has a big mouth, all along he wanted to test himself at the weight first.hence declining peter.
if he gains confidence with a few wins then he can blab his mouth off and challenge the best.

How can they guarantee Haye a fight with Vitali on the horizon?

Whether or not he's the savior of the heavyweight division, you have to admit that he's both good and entertaining. He may not end up being the best, but talking some trash is part of what makes him entertaining.

If this is even true, it should be apparent why he refused a Peter fight. With Peter's punching power, he'd stand a good chance of beating Haye, even if all of us know Haye could outbox him all night long, and there's a much bigger payday down the line if he can get a fight with either Klitschko than if he fights Sam Peter. Also, remember that Peter's promoter is Don King. Don King NEVER offers up title shots for free. Even if the money was good, it probably included options, and if the offer was made while Haye was still a promotional free agent, taking that offer would have been career suicide.

If Barrett knocks him down and Haye gets up to win, then his 'stock' will actually rise considerably, considering thats the main question mark against him.

Peter had no choice but to fight Vitali. If he did not he would be stripped. This whole thing is bull **** in my opinion.

How is that question mark against him?
We have already seen him to get up to win a match.

Samuel Peter was not rated high enough by the IBF or WBO.

Peter is only a World champion, he doesn't have a top 10 rating in the WBO like JD Champman, or " 38 year old journyman" Monte Barrett who "doesn't have any good wins". David Haye is such a clown. He don't want to fight anyone and won't shut up. When Haye's horrendous glass chin is crumbled at HW it is going to be funny. His chin is like Amir Khan and Kimbo, I think Vlad could hurt him with a jab.

uhhhhh, decebal you do realise that all along despite getting in wlad's face and hyping up a battle with him at some possible point in the future and saying he would go after the best that haye has always maintained that he'd take a couple of tune ups first right.

No, Haye said the total opposite. Haye said he was going to fight a top 10 opponent in his first fight. And hope to fight Wladimir in "early 2009".

Watch the god damn ****ing video you are talking about! Me and you " early 2009". "Chicken don't want to fight". He went up to Wlad and expected a nearly immediate shot after Wlad's mandatory fights.

According to Haye, Barrett is a 38 year old journeyman with no good wins, who has been knocked out a few times.

The ABC belt rakings are fraudulent in many cases. Haye's original opponent JD Chapman is also a top 10 ranked HW. How could that be? Chapman hasn't faced a top 200 HW yet.

Theres noway Haye will fight a top 3 guy unless its Wlad. The risk to reward isn't there.

Haye said that he didn't want to fight Peter, because he believes that he (Haye) is stronger than Wladimir thus it makes no sense to fight a guy who has been ALREADY BEATEN by Wlad.

What makes it so funny than now Haye _IS_ fighting Monte, who _WAS_ beaten by Wlad.
