    Delay

Haye unified a division in how many fights 22 fights from the start of his career.

Now wlad has had 53 fights and dosent look like doing it anytime soon, Haye surely would be likely to try and unify the division quicker than that :deal

haye has been gettin in wlads face to build up a future fight between the two. he knows hes not going to face him next.

he's just signed a 4 fight deal with setanta sports and has outlined his plans in the HW division. the first two fights (late 2008 and early 2009) will be against top ten opponents, and if they go as planned, they aim for a shot at the title in the third fight.

the fact that everyone is talking about the guy and he's not even likely to recommence his hw career for another 4 months shows hes doing something right publicity wise....essential if he's going to get the title shot three fights into his hw career.

Haye's path travled WAS much easier.

ESB's own Darnell Wilson loses fights a bum and get's a title shot in his very next fight.Rudolf Kraj with all of his 14 fights is getting a title shot.

MUCH different ballgame at CW and a whole different set of politics at HW.

Wlad wasnt always in a position to unify. And he has already had 1 unification fight.

He was gassed and it was a stoppage by the corner, not a knock out. His own inexperience caused it. And using Tyson as an example is not valid. People develop differently. Tyson was good enough to be world champion at 20. Most fighters who have won a world championship probably would not have been able to win that title when they were 20. Plus, when Tyson won the title, yes he was younger than Haye but, more importantly, Tyson was far more experienced than Haye. Tyson didn't fight for the title in his 10th pro fight, did he?

Why are people moaing about Haye fighting Klit next? Yes, Haye has to earn his title shot, he knows that. He has never once said he is moving up to heavyweight and fighting Klit or any of the other title holders straight away. He said hes going to do it properly and that means taking 6-10 months of to build his body up properly (instead of the steriods and burger James Toney way), then fight 2-3 contenders before a title fight. This trash talking hes doing is just to get his name out their. Cause a stir, start the build up to a potential title fight. Boxers do it all the time. Remember Hatton taunting Mayweather after the Castillo fight? It pisses the other guy of, hopefully making him want to fight you and it gets the attention of the media therefore whetting the appetite of the public. Its quite simple but effective really.

Anyway, whether he unifys the titles or gets knocked out he is going to bring some excitment back to a dull division so stop moaning and enjoy.

I didn't say "don't take what he says seriously". I was just pointing out that its a tactic used by many boxers to get the public behind a potential future fight. Haye has no intention of fighting Klit next, but after a couple of fights against good oposistion he wants to fight klit so hes getting the wheels of a potential fight moving now.

He had no intention's once Wlad told him to basically **** OFF,before that he tried.

Seems to me the UK didnt take Hopkins comments as just another fighter trying to sell a fight. What makes Haye any different?

People want to excuse what THERE favorite fighter says as just trying to sell a fight while those same people will hold what others say against them.

I have drawn the line with EVERY fighter and they should ALL be held accountable for there words and actions. You mean to tell me deep down Hopkins didnt really mean what he said?
