That's not even that bad looking at the WBA Heavyweight rankings from the last 15 years.
They once had a #1 contender that went 3-3 in his last 6 fights and didn't have a quality win for almost 6 years. And recently there was a guy in it at #10 who had never even beaten (or actually fought) a top 100 opponent.
