http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/othersports/boxing/9808272/David-Haye-re-applies-for-British-boxing-licence.html David Haye re-applies for British boxing licence David Haye has re-applied for his boxing licence with the British Boxing Board and "subject to medical checks" is expected to be granted it. This content is protected Haye handed back his Luxembourg Boxing Federation licence last September, after his July fight with Dereck Chisora, as the former WBA heavyweight champion eyes a money-spinning heavyweight title showdown with long-term rival Vitali Klitschko in 2013. Klitschko, 41, who has entered into Ukrainian politics, is yet to make his mind up about returning to the ring. Robert Smith, secretary of the British Boxing Board, has revealed that it should be a formality for Haye, though he may face an interview with the Board stewards.
:rofl Boxing World In Shock as Haye Applies For Job as Binman. I might actually have to write that article.
why would he re apply for his boxing license, there must be something going on behind the scenes, will he fight Vitali, only time will tell, i think if the fight doesn't happen by summer, then I doubt itll ever happen. By March April time we will know i guess. I'm getting conflicting posts on this forum, some say K2 promoter wants Vitali fight winner of Arreola v Stiverne. who knows whats going to happen, i would like to some information saying the Vitali v Haye fight is confirmed.
Well that's good news. Haye has stated recently the only fight he'd get interested about would be the Vitali fight, so maybe an announcement is close.
If and when the Vitali talks fall through, and when Povetkin vacates, then Haye will fight some mid-level contender (Chagaev or Ortiz) for the WBA paper title again. A couple more fights...maybe take on Fury....then rematch Wlad. If that is the plan I hope Haye at least picks opponents who will put on a good show.
The only fights I reckon Haye would be interested in are ones against one of the 2 brothers, and maybe the eventual winner of Price/Fury, which would be HUGE in the UK
