that would make too much sense, and i find it best to be pessimistic with boxers. besides, we're talkin david haye. no need to be serious

Nothing Haye has done so far has convinced me he can beat Povetkin. My money is on Povetkin by KO mid to late rounds

What has Povetkin done to convince you heat can beat Haye? IMO, Povetkin hasn't looked impressive since 2007-8. He's never KO'd any top HW in their physical prime.

No way this fight happens. Haye have avoided all top competition at heavyweight and talked his way into Wlad fight (unless you take Shot to **** Ruiz, shot to **** Barret, who incidentally beat an even worse Tua later on, and the marathon run against Sugar Niko, where Haye was blatantly gifted a decision). Povetkin as well is no novice to ducking and avoiding, having been slated to fight Klitchko in 2008, he has since then pulled out 3 times, each time with some bs reason, essentially walking out of a career high payday for any heavyweight other than K2 and Haye (3.3 mil and 2.8 mi). So what we have right now are 2 cherry picking, easiest route going heavyweights, facing each other? I will believe it when I see them in the ring. I fully expect Povetkin to fight Thompson and Haye to fight the ever dangerous Sprot instead.

Anyone that spends a week on ESB can predict that, you're not some kind of prophet. Get off your high horse.

Is Sauerland really interested in risking that mandatory $10m purse payday vs. Wlad slip away? If Haye takes the WBA paperbelt to the UK then the Wlad mandatory shot is off the table for Sauerland, the best they could hope for is earn a percentage on Haye defending the regular strap in the UK against guys like Fury/Price/Audley.

We all know Haye is close with Sauerland but this fight doesn't make much sense for Sauerland IMO. I'd be surprised if this happened.

You must be on the amazing, raisin-tastin', lemonade-makin' horse and on LSD if you thought I was literally implying I was a psychic, Simply.

RIGHT! Cause I'm the only one on this board that's actually psychic :yep
Even my doctor said so, only he was using the slang word "psycho" because he probably tried being cool and such.

    on topic.
Good fight, only if true I'm afraid we'll never see Wlad vs Pov anymore.

I just read that Wlad - Povetkin was moved to "until August 31". So there's certainly time for Povetkin to make the fight, would still be crazy though to risk it against Haye.

I'd like to see that fight, but I doubt it will happen. I'm still not sure Haye would take the hard route to another title shot and there's no way that Sauerland will risk Povetkin vs Wlad. That said, I favour Haye to beat Povetkin unless Kostya does wonders for Povetkin's motivation.

I'd be very surprised if this fight takes place - The loser gets fed to the wolves in respect of TV exposure.
