He's going to be trawling through his David Haye quote archive (not at all sad for a 42 year old man) and mocking up some more pictures of David Haye.
Impressive. I would have expected to see such hand speed more common place in the much lighter weight classes.
So we've been hearing for some time that Haye needs to earn his shot but it still won't keep the critics quiet on that one.
K2 has asked the WBA for a 85/15 split (lmao!), they declined and confirmed the split will be 75/25. Assuming the purse bid yields between $8-12 million that will mean a gross purse of around $2-$3 million for Povetkin, definitely a career high for Povetkin -- and Sauerland who have invested millions in Povetkin's miserable career. Povetkin - Haye will have a tough time generating that on German TV alone, unless Haye can secure a PPV deal. Is there any word from Sky on this matter? Were they ever expressing sincere interest in Haye - Vitali? Would love to see the fight though. Would be fun while it lasts.
No chance of it happening in my opinion. Not with both the fighters history. Will definitely be watching if it happens though:bbb
Haye lost to carl thompson, got KD'd by Lolenga Mock, and looked like **** against Valuev Povetkin's HW resume is much better Maskaev
Awesome if true. Haye is very talented. I always moaned about him because he's a celebrity 1st. And would only fight a klitchko or an easy local fight. If he takes this one, i'll be very happy.
I think Sky were hugely keen on Vitali - Haye and had been pushing for that fight for a while. I'd speculated that they'd given the go ahead for that fight to be PPV if it could be made. With Vitali silent, its no surprise that Haye is coming back now Sky is back in the PPV game again. However, I imagine they'd demand a pretty high quality opponent if they were to put him on 6 weeks after Froch- Kessler. As I said above, If Haye gets PPV they can easily match Povetkins purse for a Klit fight, meaning its a career high pay day for a much more winnable fight for him. If they're thinking in business terms (and this IS Sauerland we're dealing with here) then that makes sense. Also, something that should not be underestimated is that if Haye wants to fight on Sky then he has to go through Matchroom, as they have an exclusive contract. It seems there's a very good working relationship between Eddie Hearn and Kalle Sauerland, having just made one big PPV fight, so this does actually make a lot of sense. I can still see it being Adamek or someone though.
Haye demonstrates his complete versatility by throwing a left hook from a southpaw stance against Enzo Macranelli. This content is protected Too Slick. Too Black. Even the Great Russian: Volodymyr Klychko struggles to lay a hand on the Hayemaker. This content is protected Haye fought excellently in the pocket against Chisora. It looks like his moves were inspired by guys like Marciano and Henry Armstrong. Ten toes since the Wladimir bout. Chisora "I will physically burn him" get's dominated by two feet Haye. There are no reports of Povektin being his opponent. To get to Vitali he needs to go the WBC route fighting Banks , Stiverne or Arrolea. Povektin has to fight Wlad. All the biggest threats in the division are fighting eachother while Wlad as an easy career feasting on unranked bums and still holding all the belts.
