Did Haye try to offer Chagaev a step-aside payment so he can delay the mandatory defense?

Didn't say anything about that. Said he's got Chagaev deadline before July 2, can't do the fight with Klitschko.

And he'll fly to Germany to fight Chagaev? You know Chag suffers from Hepatitis right?:rofl

Haye should drop that Don King-strap and move on to bigger and better things, but he won't, because he does not want the Klitschko's.

That would only be possible if Wlad wasn't fighting though, right? Haye can hardly go to the WBA and ask them to postpone his mandatory when Wlad has a fight in between. They'd just say "no" to that request because Wlad has a fight in between. From there perspective, if Wlad is fighting, so should Haye.

If Haye signs a contract with Wlad for July 2nd and pays off Chagaev to step aside. The WBA'd get their sanctioning fee on July 2nd. And much more than they'd get versus Chagaev.

Why exactly would the WBA say no?

Good reasoning -as always - but this is only happening in your own head. You want so hard to believe that Haye is not just declining a fight against Klit.

According to Haye, they were ready to announce the 2.7.2011 fight today, which means that they were sure that WBA would have nothing against the fight. Is there any reliable source that says that WBA would force Haey to take a fight against Chagaev if Wlad would have some tune-up fight before the big clash?

Wlad is ready to fight in 2.7 and Haye's not - this is it in a nutshell.

    :good

    It would be good.

Haye vs. Chagaev and Wlad vs. Chisora and at the end of the year Wlad vs. Haye.

So Haye can proof is he is all the money worth he wants.

Wladimir stops Chagaev and nice to see how Haye will handle Chagaev.

Somehow I have a feeling, for the first time after 2009 that this fight will happen in the summer.. Probably because Haye said that it won't.

If Chagaev agreed to step aside the WBA would agree to post-pone the mandatory for 6 months or whatever.

The question is if Haye ever asked Chagaev how much money it would take to step aside. Looks like he didn't. I wonder why?

If he's saying it's not possible, maybe he's already asked them and they said "no"?
