I thought that too for long time but it's gone too far for being pure pr-stunt. Amount of money that this fight can generate is limited because only GB shows it as PPV. I doubt that Haye would take willingly this bad public fallout for extra 300-600K views (2,5£ a piece for Haye). Math just doesn't add up.

Sure they all say after the fight that everything was just to hype and they're friends etc but I don't think that's the case here. Both parties seems genuinely disgusted.

[don't ruin the ride Shaunster! :)]

    WTF!?
    Irrelevant?
If he is, is there really anything else melodramatic to want to talk about the HvyWt division?
    ...... of COURSE he's relevant!

If they couldnt munch on about Haye, they'd have to be stuck talking about Tyson Fury instead! God help us....

How the hell is vitali tougher? He isn't as quick, isn't as strong, isn't in his prime anymore. He's had countless injuries. Sanders and lewis both had him badly hurt so he can be hurt.

I'd favour any quick athletic boxer to ud vitali right now, adamek or haye would beat him imo.

None of this will matter because solis will flatten the old man.

Wlad is miles ahead of vitali in every way possible. He's beaten his best opponents, he's beaten far more top ten opposition, he hits much harder, he is much quicker, he is much more technically sound.

Vitali is a warrior with amazing heart but he's old and unproven. To suggest right now he would be a tougher fight is ridiculous.

Wlad is number for one for a reason, that reason is not he simply got there before vitali.

It is almost astonishing that man who has beaten Kirk Johnson, Corrie Sanders, Danny Williams, Sam Peter, Shannon Briggs, Herbie Hide, Orin Norris, Juan Carlos Gomez and Chris Arreola can be called "unproven."

As for being old- has he lost a round since his comeback?

Seriosuly hurt by Lennox and Corrie? Some think Corrie had him down, but the man has never officially tasted canvas. Given the list of punchers that he has faced, he has one fo the best chins ever.

Haye wants no part of Vitaly because he knows that there is no avenue by which he could win.

Wald is the better boxer, but Vitali is certainly the harder nut to crack for Haye. Outboxing Vitali and win by decision? No way, my friend. None of the aforementioned fighters are able to do this. Vitali -still- throws more punches than every other HW fighter and most of them are hitting their targets. He's taken monster shots from Lennox and also good punches from Sanders and he didn't fall. Vitali is a warrior and there's no doubt that Haye only has a snowball's chance in hell to win against him.

Well, i think it's self explanatory why Haye wants nothing to do with the better brother in my opinion....

that list is the saddest part of vitali's career in my eyes. The guy had so much potential and could actually have racked up some meaningful victories. unfortunately the injuries took that chance away from him.

so you don't think sanders and lewis hurt him? granted he's never been down, but that doesn't mean he cant be hurt by a puncher, and at his age the pain will only get worse.

On the interview everyones quoting, haye actually said if he had a crystal ball he'd fight wlad then vitali. but if it's only one he'd rather fight the younger, more prime, higher rated brother.

this si the sort of thing people should be happy at, out of two options he would prefer the tougher one.

anyways if boxing domains word is something to go buy then wlad and haye are close to a deal, if haye wins and vitali wins they can meet up in autumn, if haye or vitali lose then it's all rather irrelevant.

personally i expect solis to smash vitali and render the conversation moot.

I honestly cannot believe people disrespect wladimir so much to suggest that vitali is a harder opponent :patsch

wlad is top dog for a reason.

everyone agrees that audley was a **** poor piece of matchmaking fromn a legacy viewpoint.

but if he can only fight one brother, wouldn't you prefer him to take the tougher challenge and fight the top dog rather than the old man?

I kindly disagree. For Haye Vitali is > Wlad. In general Wlad is the better boxer like I said before and he is on his peak while Vitali is on the decline (but far away from being an old man :))

Adam Booth on Sky Sports last year: "We actually prefer Vitali, he holds the more significant belt of the WBC as far as we're concerned".

And now Haye is saying he never was interested in Vitali?

I think you underrate wlad. Wlad would put a far worse beating on haye imo.
