David Haye: Shades of Carl Froch

Yep Price is a shoe in for the HOF - for achievements in sparring. Shame when he gets to the actual fight he seems to leave all that sparring brilliance behind and invariably gets ktfo.

 

Yeah he did better than expected and good on him but the fact is he was on his way to losing before the injury. Haye is the better fighter, he is just bad enough at this point for Bellew to stand a chance.

 

Having re-watched the fight after a long time, I was shocked how badly Bellew dealt with a sitting duck in Haye. With his injury there was no way Haye should have been even remotely competitive for 6 rounds. He fought over half the fight on one leg and was landing on Bellew.

Before the rupture, could see Haye wasn't right and conservative in his footwork. Definitely carrying an injury into the ring and it eventually completely gave out in the 5th.

Haye fully fit = Bellew getting stopped similar to the Stevenson fight. Haye has too much for him even at this age and lack of activity, as long as he's fit and had a good camp.

 

Not true, plenty even on here thought/think Hayes to far gone to beat Bellew

Why wouldn't I ?? He pulled out because he wasn't fit so I would say hes entering fit or as fit as can be. I don't think he would go again with a problem

Bellew boxed a fit n healthy Hayes ears off and chinned him out over the ring apron in the 11th. Simple as that!

Yeah exactly , he was fine before his ankle popped out in the 6th.. Thing is , Bomber wasn't meant to still be there in the 6th round but he managed to evade Haye for that period of time which was his gameplan and it was executed to perfection.
Credit where credit his due. Bellew had the better fundamentals and the better gameplan. Causing your opponent an injury is still a legitimate method of victory.

 

So you don't agree with people in the trade that have gone on camera after the fight stating they knew a couple weeks before that Haye was injured ?? Fearon, Froch to name just a couple, also the flight to Germany the week before the fight to see a specialist..Lol , do you honestly think he would've done that just to be sociable and say hi to his specialist??? Bellew is blagging when he said he caused the injury to Haye, its just low level and insulting for him to even talk like that, people have eyes. Dino's been blagged good and proper by the scouser, and tbh it makes me feel slightly angry that hes done this to the blind and needy

 

That's only damage control.. Look through the prediction thread and how many people said Haye as injured ? None!
My predict is in there and Haye fought almost exactly how i said he would.
