I think one reason why Haye had to strike first was because if he let Chisora throw a shot at him while he had his guard down he may well off got KOed...and then he'd look even worse. ;)

Chisora is completely unpredictable and a liability, Haye is a media hungry *****!! If Haye is in hiding just put up a TV camera and he usually appears.

Both will have to take their punishment, though the arrogance of Haye's statement is shocking, even lacking the insight or humility to aplologise. For someone who is selling themselves as a media darling, his last few fights, the "I'm going to walk away from the sport" farce, have been a PR disaster.

Chisora will receive a heavy fine and ban from the BBBC, whilst Haye will now not come back from his retirement because the BBBC will refuse him a license, plus he's no chance of generating the purses he wants due to the public having enough of him.

I can only think that Haye will put some positive spin on his disappearance, and how he's done it for the good of the sport!!!

You know what you are getting with Chisora, with Haye his antics are revealing that his real persona is different from the sanitised media manufactured version!!!

I have never argued in Chisora's defence. I have said he was wrong and deserves a ban.

Chisora went for the school yard bully tactic of trying to embarrass Haye. Haye had options to avoid a confrontation but chose to let the fists fly. This was a fight pure and simple, there was no self defence involved.

Haye's statement is a joke. The man has no shame. Do you remember the gall of the man man on BBC Breakfast the Monday after the Wladimir defeat when he was claiming he would knock Klitschko out. The BBC presenters were laughing down their sleeves.
