I'm not sure briggs was a fearless powerhouse, and came to fight with both hands flying. I leave it to you.

Very few heavyweight fighters in history would have been KO'ed by that performance last night. Wlad landed only 1 clean shot during the entire fight, even a chinny asthmatic like Briggs could have survived that.

Briggs could have very well have beaten Haye, both fast and powerful with stamina issues. Briggs just simply fought in a much more competitive era which is why he was seen more as a fringe contender than a genuine threat like Haye in the current era.

No. David Haye was a good cruiserweight. He's a cowardly B-level heavyweight. You can view Haye's heavyweight career as a well-paying part-time deferred retirement position. Way to make the most [money] of it, Davey--you're a minor footnote.

    Oh Stfu clown:lol:

Briggs would not have landed a glove on Haye last night. Briggs was utter ****, walking Punch bag.

Briggs came to fight, and really wasn't fast enough to run all night long...I think run was a word he never learned.

He was a walking punch bag when he faced Vitali but the young fast Briggs was able to get to Lewis in their fight, would not be a surprise if he did the same to Haye, the only difference being Haye wouldn't have got back up once tagged by Briggs.

Haye maybe better than Briggs but not by much if he is at all. Prime Briggs was, bigger, hit harder and almost as quick as Haye. The Briggs that fought Vitali could barely move his roided body around the ring.

Haye's countering would actually match up pretty well against Briggs. I'd favor him in that fight.

A shot never-was Monte Barrett and a past it John Ruiz managed to land on Haye, Briggs would give Haye all sorts of problems and could potentially get him out of there early.

He kept Lennox Lewis honest early on and Haye certainly aint no Lewis, it would be a tossup of a fight.

Who says Haye would need to be Lewis to win? Worse fighters than Lennox had an easier time with Briggs.

Briggs got iced by Darrol Wilson, outboxed by Sedreck Fields, and needed a robbery to beat the old, turtle-looking (and moving) George Foreman as well as one to draw with Botha. I'm glad he was able to make a nice little run for himself and grab the belt from Lyakovich in the last moments of that fight, but with that Cindarella Man run aside, he just wasn't a top shelf heavyweight. Haye's showed me enough in the handful of fights I've seen him at the weight to favor him, even with the lowly workrate.
