Over the past four years, he's been the central talking point - for both good and bad reasons - of the heavyweight division:
    • 2009 - Beefing with the Klitschkos and then winning the title off Valuev.
    • 2010 - More talk of him fighting the Klitschkos, whilst beating up Ruiz and Harrison
    • 2011 - Created the most significant HW fight of the past decade
    • 2012 - Again involved in the most anticipated HW fight of the year.
So that's four years in a row now that he's been the most talked about heavyweight.

Quite an achievement, don't you guys think?

Will we ever see another HW bring the same level of hype?

Is he the last of dying breed in the HW division?

I do know it's not a good thing though, considering he does not bring it on fight night.

But you gotta' admit, this division would have been, you know, a bit bland without him involved in it. Even when he cherry-picks opponents far below his level, people -- including his hayeters -- flock to see him.

    It's like:

"Ha, I'm fighting bums, and you people still can't get enough of me. Life is good!"

I had high hopes for David, he did kinda redeem himself by beating the **** out of chisora though

The division is in dire straits, any addition will do good for the division, Haye talks the talk big time but does not necessarily walk the walk.

Personally I would've much rather seen a Lamon Brewster-type guy who brought us entertainment INSIDE the ring, rather than outside.

I believe you have been mistaken. That chart is an illustration of heart-pulse rates of the fans in attendance at Klitschko fights. And with that sudden increase (D) in 2011, you'll notice it's from the Haye-Wladimir fight. And the next biggest one (F) in 2012 was when Haye was commentating at Vitali-Chisora.

Good find, though. Perfectly illustrates the two highest points of the last 8 or so years, have involved Haye.

    Same.

Was put off by him with the Klitschko stuff.

Then admired him again for the way he dealt with Chisora.

Haye single handedly resucitated the HW division, and has been its life support system ever since

That's the way I see it too, Shaunster.

I think he deserves more respect. He truly is underappreciated. They hate him now, but they'll love and miss him when he's gone. Seriously, I urge everyone to make the most out of this Saturday. This may well be the last time we ever get to see him.

Bad poll options. Where's the simple 'No'?

The second one's got a 'no' in it. You could just pick that one.

Didn't stop you from entering and commenting, did it?

You're no different to the Hayeters who criticize Haye, and then flock to watch and seek pleasures from his fights.
