Could this be a ploy to raise his profile, try to capture some new 'casual' fans to ensure a bigger sum of money, even possible PPV, when/if he fights Vitali next year?

If he wins it, or goes far he will be much more of a household name and would definitely mean more would watch his fight. If he's in it, thats the plan.

 

Haye was seen as a throw back fighter around the time he fought Mormeck abroad and then Enzo.
