With Haye at around 200-205lbs, the leaning tactics used by the 245lb Wlad will drain his stamina very quickly indeed.

I remember Monte Barrett shoving Haye around in clinches like a rag doll...

    Good point. :good

Haye has bad balance to start with too, without Wlad ramming his ramrod jab at him.

being small will not help him. He needs some power and not just the right hand to keep Vlad respectful. Like I said, Vlad in 3 or 4.

They seem to be very confident about their gameplan, they will be coming in light (assuming he is as light as he looks) to adopt said gameplan.

Can't wait to see what they do.

Wlad wouldn't take that left hook he hit Valuev with as well as he did. Plus you have to take in the fact he broke his hand in the 2nd round.

Difficult to tell from a video - lighting, angle etc. could be a factor. But if Haye came in light, I agree that it probably wouldn't work. Wladimir knows how to cut the ring off and there's just no way Haye is winning a boxing match against a bigger guy with better fundamentals.

Haye apparently broke his hand in the 2nd round, but he fought in the exact same manner in the 1st round. The only round where he fought with slightly more aggression was the 12th, when his hand was broken. Plus Haye was 217lbs against Valuev, but at 200-205lbs aprox for Wlad, he will have less punching power for certain.

we all know he broke his hand with Valuev, he could not box one month before ruiz fight, he injured his back and pulled out of Wlads fight , then ran from Vitali , so is he that frafile,or brits are so damn stupid?

    this...^

I doubt Haye could outbox Wlad, he is no Valuev. If Haye wants to win he needs to KO Wlad, otherwise he will be jabbed to death and then put to sleep with a right hand in the late rounds...

No. He only came in this heavy as he suffered a cut in sparring and stopped sparring. He was never going to be over 220 in this fight. He didnt look as ripped as normal against Ruiz - especially in the face

I'm not saying Haye should "stand there & trade". His only chance would've been to lead with bombs & try to push Wlad out of his comfort zone. With the speed & power of Haye, he would have a good puncher's chance at that, if he came in at a more solid weight. By coming in light & trying to out-point Wlad, he stands absolutely no chance. A puncher's chance is most certainly better than no chance. An extremely small number of Great Heavyweights in history could out-box a Peak Wlad to a decision win if they tried their best, & Haye is no Great Heavyweight...

:huh:huh:huhAre you trying to suggest that Haye needs to spar to drop bodyweight??

I think Haye has experimented with his weight throughout his heavyweight campaign and quickly found that his smallish frame simply doesn't carry the extra weight as well as he'd hoped. He was panting for ages after the final bell in the Valuev fight and took a couple of rounds off, looking winded, against Ruiz.

I also remember his nutrition guy saying they don't count calories anymore, just let Haye eat as much or little as he likes/needs. If that's the case and he's trained hard and not eaten excessively ( it's possible he simply doesn't like camp food so much, he's stated many times he loves junk food when not in training), then his weight could easily be under what he weight for Harrison.
