David Haye to weigh-in very light! Officially: 213lbs.

Hayes best asset is his speed so why would he add extra bulk and slow himself down? Haye at 200lbs hits plenty hard enough to knockout Wlad.

He wasnt in great shape against Ruiz, was clearly carrying more fat than normal, Haye at around 210 is ideal.

Silly thread and if your going to jump ship do it now, but im telling you, Haye will destroy him with speed and power.

 

Haye looks a bit bigger at this point than vs Audley IMO

 

If he straight up traded with Wlad, he would beat the **** outta Wlad. Wlad won't trade with him though, he'll use his footwork...if he can.

 

I'm just waiting for the excuses from you bitches after Haye beats the **** outta Wlad.

I'm sure they will be, "Wlad is shot." "Wlad was drugged again."

I'd pick a young 90s Holyfield to beat Wlad and he was 215 and under plus had a far better chin than Wlad and was able to hurt bigger guys like Bowe.

 

if he comes in heavy hes going to charge wlad and be koed earlyif he comes in light hes going to run like a girl and lose by late ko, either way hes ****ed but i dont wanna see him stink the place out like he did against valuev

 

the problem with haye is if he fights straight up in wlad0s face, he will get ktfo. if i were him, i pot shot and work from the outside. u cant beat wlad in a boxing match. u got to use head movement, distance and speed. wlad had problems with sultan, but, as u can see sultan couldnt beat him with that tactic. hayes best bet is to imploy that tactic. but, i dont know if haye is as fast as iggy

 

If he straight up trades with Wlad, he'll have a very small chance of being succesful. Haye has to find the angles and come in over the jab with some really big punches. If he takes one to give one he'll get annihilated and he is smart enough to know this. He'll most likely loose anyway, though.

 

Its not a bad strategy versus a much bigger, much stronger guy like Wlad. The problem is Haye is simply too inactive of a puncher due to suspect stamina and so the last time he tried the run and pot shot tactic he nearly lost against a horrible inactive champion. This strategy may protect his chin for a little longer but it also robs him of landing a big shot in the earlier rounds, which most believe is his best chance to win. If you wish to win, you've got to try to get past Wlad's jab, bust him on the inside and get to his chin. On the upside, maybe the lighter weight will lend itself to improved stamina and bigger work rate, we will see. Unless Haye has learned something new in training though, I don't think he's very well suited for this strategy. I can already see the excuses coming out of Britain - he was sick and too drained from being fed bad German food and that's why he got KTFO.

 

If he does that, he will have to come in and expose himself a bit. If he simply stays on the outside his punches will be missing their mark. He has to try to get inside.

 

Because Wlad is long and athletic himself. Counter punching is not the way to beat him unless you share the same reach Wlad shares.

 

He could weigh-in at 2000 pounds and his glass jaw will still get shattered.
