Who would win this ? What would happen ?

Haye has all the obvious physical advantages like bigger and reach and weighs heavier.

McCllellan though had a excellent chin - and punched with real venom well above his weight at middleweight and super middleweight.

    Haye was a natural cruiser.

But McCllellan was huge for a Middleweight and it would not be that big a step up to Cruierweight as it was for Roy Jones stepping up to fight Ruiz.

McCllellan beat Roy Jones in the amteurs of course

I'm intrested to know the thoughts on this one from posters like GazOC, TFFP, Jeff Thomas, Prima Donna Kool, D Mac, Djoc , Ishy, Betty Swollocks and Claypole.

Haye as a cruiser was as quick as a middle weight but hit as hard as a heavy so id have to say him. He wont have the same dominance at heavy though as the klits are far too good!!

I reckon McClellan would be out of his depth against Haye at cruiserweight. Haye wouldn't even need to him him his best shots either, just grazing, cuffing shots would do the job.

If career middleweight Mock could have Haye on ***** street - it would be dangerous to rule out McCllellans power being able to do the job - he is the hardest punching middleweight of all time. Even harder than Julian Jackson.

McLellan never won a meaningful fight above 160lb but he stands a chance against a top cruiser?

He couldn't put Benn away at his natural weight, so I would doubt whether he could make such a big jump to cruiserweight and knock Haye out. It's possible, but how slow would Mcclelllan be compared to Haye?

Gerald McClellan = left hook to the body. He had 15+ 10-counts with it. He was rangey and heavy-handed but it was a sneaky short quick untelegraphed punch snapped in to the right spot, and he often found it early early. If you were 25-stone, you're going down.

I'd pick Mcllellan man right up to heavyweight .Just he looks quality man like a great fighter that's why .Like a Mayweather Pacquiao multiple weight world champion .Just his ko's man the way he knocked guys out .If he got stronger moving up in weight like Pacquiao he'd defintley be one of the greats .That's what it says on this second videos .Stripped off he was like a wedge .He could have been one of the greats .Minature Mike Tyson

But I'd still say Haye. McClellan finished a super-welterweight amateur, Haye a heavyweight amateur.

Though McClellan did used to come in at 180+ as a middleweight and remain chiseled. And he was 6ft1.

Dunno, really. But Haye is a big guy and I'd imagine him dusting him out to be honest.

Haye would win, Gerald was great because he used his range beautifully as well as his power at middleweight/welterweight, if Gerald had time to adapt to Cruiserweight then who knows but i think Haye would win if he just jumped up to face him.

Exactly, so it's not a good mythical matchup.

Its not as crazy as i first thought. Haye relies on his speed to counter but he'd have a tough time trapping G-man. I'll go with Haye but I believe if he was careless and ate a big combo, gerard would jump on him and force the stoppage.
