Haye back peddles for 45 rounds and wins a decision. It is called 'exciting' and 'masterclass' by the reporters at ringside.
Dear Zakman kind regards I think that I agree. Jess Willard is a better boxer than Nikolai Valuev and has better punching power. David Haye's strategy of moving and throwing punches worked against Valuev though and I give him credit for that. yours thankfully John
Those are journeymen. Also, Willard's punch resistance isn't all that proven. He never showed he could go the distance with a puncher. Dempsey and Firpo both stopped him. Yes, he was old then, but he never proved he COULD do it.
Dear Rico Spadafora kind regards I doubt that Haye (or any of the other current Heavyweights for that matter) would be able to go 45 rounds due to a lack of conditioning that the older fighters possessed. Its time to go back to the drawing board in terms of your prediction my friend. yours thankfully John
Dear Friends kind regards Just in case anyone was interested in watching Jack Dempsey's title win against Jess Willard they can watch it in my Step back in time thread dedicated to the match. 1. http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=68002&highlight=Jess+Willard The youtube version of the match that I put on there is the best version on there as it was a pure version of the Bill Cayton Boxers collection. yours thankfully John
