to be honest people will be fast to pick haye because he is charismatic and exciting. people WANT him to transcend the sport because there's really no-one else out there who can capture the imagination of the general public and land a heavyweight chapionship to cement that status like he can.

its not a simple question to answer and i hope haye could conquer golota, but fights like this are a pandora's box until we see for ourselves how haye handles flush shots from a heavy power hitter.

i really hope he carries his weight and speed and becomes the 'saviour of the heavies'....but history says he won't and i'll wait and see until he gets in the mix.

Pur-lease, Haye would blow out Golota in a round.....Not being over excited or bying into the hype, its simply the most likely scenario.

care to back that up "pur-lease?".

based on your avatar and allegiance i'd say it would be a good idea.

When was Golota ever considered a heavy hitter :huh

The Golota that fought Bowe maybe, but even that version had an amazing ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Haye don't play...Haye by stoppage.

Yeah but the thread was about Haye V 40 year old Golota....I mean please....

27 year old Haye V 27 year old Golota might be interesting indeed but Haye would just hammer old Golota easily.

    i think he would too.

but it's that grey area about haye that will stand out more in the heavies (if it is a weakness) that people want to know about.

it's way too dismissive to give haye the benefit of the doubt considering how difficult it is to move from cruiser to heavy successfully.

but i'd love to see haye do it.

Golota struggled at times against Mollo. I'd hate to see how he'd do against someone with even marginal talent.
