Desire ???? He was on 1 leg taking shots off another man and trying to land for 5 rounds, if that doesn't prove he wants it then nothing will. It was Bellew blowing out of his arse knackered. Haye is always in shape, he's just injury prone
I agree 100%. Go where the money is. A UK fight with either Haye, Bellew or especially Fury would make Joshua way more money than a bout with Wilder. And he's less likely to get KTFO like he will be by Wilder. Well maybe not bother with Bellew but Haye and Fury would be huge in the UK.
I think this is the truth. But now it’s mentioned I’d kinda like to see a fully fit Haye in this fight...
I agree, but I also think Wilder’s rising in the money steaks all the time. I’m not a Wilder fan at all.
What absolute nonsense. He was in the gym right after his Achilles surgery with a cast on his foot doing upper body resistance training. He was back in the gym the next day doing cardio when he tore his bicep before the initial date of the rematch. I just love it when the Haye haters have to resort to total fabrication in order to discredit this true fighting warrior.
Ay, there's the rub... I think Hayes latest injury may have put paid to his already faint hopes of landing a Joshua fight. I think prior to that it could have happened because whatever Hayes current status he would've guaranteed a very healthy uk return for a relatively low level of risk. A good fight to include amongst the mandatories should time allow. But as AJ adds belts the space fr such match ups gets ever smaller and the risk of Haye having to delay due to injury makes him less and less attractive as an option.
This is a fight I would also like to see. Two of the warriors from the ageing heavyweight generation that we never got to see fight in the past. Maybe on the cards if AJ fights Miller?
Haye may have been cursed with a fragile body, but the man is an absolute professional. If fighting on one leg for 5 rounds against a world-class opponent isn't enough proof of his desire, then watch him train bandaged up like a mummy going hell for leather in the gym. If he beats Bellew in style, he will be calling out the champs.
I only hope that Haye comes in injury free so he can do what he should've done first time and spark Bellew. He isn't what he used to be, but the gulf was that big prime for prime that even this Haye can destroy him imo
