A fit Haye beats him easily. He was starting to come on and beat up Bellew in the last fight before his Achilles went, Bellew getting ranked so highly by the divisions off that fight was ridiculous considering the circumstances. An injury-free Haye is still a dangerous dark horse in the division. Hopefully age hasn't caught up with him and he finishes Bellew in style.
On the contrary, he's injury prone because he trains so hard, especially regarding his agility, movement, and maximising his power through torque, constant high-intensity twisting and movement is hard on the joints, muscles and bones.
He’s injury prone because he is old and has been fighting all his life. The fact that he bulked up as a heavyweight has probably caused irreparable damage to his joints and tendons. You questioned his desire to get in shape which, as I stated, was absolute nonsense.
I'm also a little surprised fast Eddie and Haye are not talking about the prospects of this fight happening. I don't give Haye much of a chance against Joshua now - but doesn't matter. Casuals will lap it up and it would still sell out a stadium. Haye probably know he'd struggle against Joshua now but would still be a massive cash out for him.
Does nothing for Joshua if he fights Haye before Wilder. Once he becomes undisputed, Josh could get a payday off Haye.
Doesn't matter, Haye vs Joshua is a massive local UK fight. Even if Joshua gets WBC belt, he won't hold it for long. Suliaman will force American mandatory after mandatory and strip him as soon as possible, the WBC mafia are desperate for an American heavyweight champ.
Would make sense if Haye wins, big money, low risk high reward for AJ as Haye is not what he once was.
This. Haye would be a mega money fight. It makes to much sense for it not to happen, should the opportunity present itself after the Bellew fight.
Should he become undisputed I think Joshua will rapidly vacate some of his belts. Otherwise he's the slave of the sanctioning bodies fighting one mandatory after another. He'll be the man whether he holds all the trinkets or not so why not save on the sanctioning fees and let his rivals scrap each other for his cast-offs?
This. Haye wasted Fury's time twice and even pulled out of a fight with Shannon Briggs fight. I don't think Haye is worth the risk, since Joshua has too much momentum going to have Haye waste several months of his time. The winner of the Miller-Duhaupas would be a better match if he beats Parker, since the Wilder fight most likely won't happen for at least 2-3 more years.
