    I like Haye in this.

I picture Tua coming in way out of shape and way too heavy. He won't prepare 100% and will just figure a cruiser can't beat him and the first punch he lands wins the fight. He gets in the ring and Haye doesn't stand still for him and Tua plods away to drop a decision to a guy he should have beat. Should have. Could have. Didn't.

The matchup pre-supposes that both are prime.

    Understood.

Even at prime Tua came in at less than spectacular shape/focus. I'm saying he would never prepare 100% for a guy like this. He'd always come in at 75 or 80% and not in Lennox Lewis or Ike shape. More like Rahman shape.....just enough to scrape by, instead of getting razor sharp and making things easy for himself.

But I thiink A guy like Haye out-prepares him and comes in top shape and gets the win.

Lots of guys don't bother to always bring their A game and had a big dropoff to their B game. Tua is one of those guys. Different guy in the ring. We just didn't get to see David Tua working and preparing the 6 weeks before a fight to have his A game that frequent. If he bothered to, a guy like Rahman doesn't last. Tua would not see this opponent as a big enough threat and that factor, to me anyway, is a big weakness in his game and would be on par with the speed difference between the 2.

How possible would it be for Haye to run for 12 rounds?
    A little.
How possible would it be for Tua to punch Haye one good time?
    100%
How likely would it be that Haye takes a nap thereafter?
    Almost a sure thing.
    Tua KO8

This is both fighters at their best.............that is Tua from the Ike or Rahman I fight.........he was in beyond excellent shape, remember his punch output in the Ike match.?

The key to beat Tua is to use a consistant jab and movement due to his inability to cut off the ring. Oleg , Izon and Rahman did it until they got caught because they got tired and sloppy and a properly trained /motivated Tua comes steady for 12, he never lets the pressure up.

He and his mgmt team would certainly take Haye serious, lets say around Ike time.........Haye might have early success with movement but can't keep it up for 12 no way, period, he almost **** in his pants against WK and the Missing link, he would be in straight panic mode about Tua left hook.

Tua KO, you can bet the house on it, both on their best day.

BTW, Tua has slow feet but fast hands and his left hook is textbook quick.

I would have bet the other way. For Tua to find a way to lose.

As for the Oleg, Wooden, etc struggles, those guys are much easier to hit than Haye. I see Haye lasting the distance because he won't trade with the guy. Much more mobile than Jeff and Oleg and Rahman and those other types. And Tua took forever to get rid of those guys anyway. He was hardly a seek and destroy Tyson type results guy at his best.

One of my biggest moneymakers gambling was playing the Byrdman at 7-1 to Tua. Same thing. Tua is going to ko him the first time he lands, etc and so forth. The trouble is the guy does not set things up to land the blow and has pretty much a useless right hand. Take away or nuetralize that left hook and what do you have?

I think there are guys capable to do just that and what it does to the Tua types is to make them ordinary. What they don't do is slug like Ike but box and make Tua move his feet to do anything.

Tua could of course be easily out boxed and had a tendency to sometimes be lazy and just look for the one big punch, so Haye would most definitely be competitive.

But Tua could take Haye's power and was dangerous for the full 12 rounds. I think Haye get's stopped late while ahead on the scorecards. If Mormeck could crowd him and drop him I think Tua could finish the job.
