Have only seen Chambers against Povetkin, but he looked ok. Not a monster, but not a termater can. If Haye can do something spectacular where Povetkin failed to, I might begin to pay just a little attention to the hype train.

The whole Hayes opponent "revolving door" is a joke.

When the contract is signed, then I will believe it.

Actually I wont believe the fight will happen until I see them BOTH enter the ring. :yep

Don't be surprised if Hayes HW debut gets delayed :think

Haye is already a joke in the heavyweight scene. I would seriously give Butterbean a good shot at beating him. The current 450lb Bean. Not the "prime" 330 lb Bean...lol. Prime Bean would KO him in 3. Go back to Cruiser and shut the %&*$ up you damn glass chinned pretender. I still can't belive this joke is calling out the half-dead Ray Mercer and trying to make it seem like a credible opponent.

Is he a joke if he starches Chambers in under 4 rounds? Or does that win him some respect from you?

I would love to know why people are so sure Haye would take out Chambers in four or less? Or take him out at all for that matter. Aside from the Macca fight and Bonin, both guys who have been dropped by mediocre punchers before, his KO's have become much more cummalitive against guys like Fragomeni, Mormeck and Johanssen. He has also been dropped by Thompson, Mormeck and Mock, none of these guys hits as hard as Chambers, who has taken punches from Brock and Povetkin.

If this fight were to come off I'd favor Chambers, with his better defense and comparable speed but real heavyweight power.

If he starches Chambers in under 4 rounds I will absolutely give him the credit he deserves. Chambers is a good solid fighter who is a true test for someone trying to make noise in the Heavyweight division. As a matter of fact if Chambers came into the fight in good shape and not as his his usual jelly-roll self and he STILL got starched by Haye, I would take "The Hayemaker" very seriously indeed. :good

I am withholding any Haye opponent comments until whoever it is shows up at the weigh in.

I'm probably the only one on ESB who thinks so, but Chambers is a downgrade from Johnson.

    What happened to Kingpin? :?

wow this would be a credible opponent and one that can definetly pull off the upset. chambers coulda beaten povetkin if he just upped his weak workrate.

Maybe Povektin's aggression prevented Chambers from upping his workrate, even though he tried.

Johnson would have been equally credible, he just doesn't have the name recognition Chambers does (yet). :bart

Compared to others mentioned Chambers is the best pick and the best test for Haye right now. Those are the guys they could consider.

    Barrett
    Chambers
    Toney
    Rahman
    Johnson

Out of the guys mentioned I think Chambers would be the best test right now, Barrett is the second option if the Chambers fight doesn't go through according to them. Who do you think is a better opponent?
