The latest I read is that Eddie Chambers wants to take this fight. What is your thoughts?

Eddie Chambers has a tight defense, sturdy chin and is a good counter puncher.

I'll take Chambers in this one. His stamina is the only thing that bothers me in this matchup. If he had better stamina, he would definately outpoint Haye.

Still nothing confirmed. There are three or four people that this fight could still go to.
Chambers is one of the better names still in the mix.

Yeah, Chambers is a good boxer. David Haye is looking for a walk in the park type fight, he surely would rather have an easier fight if he could.

The day just wouldn't be the same without a Geppy David Haye hate thread.

Haye KO 1, obviously. I know it's what you want to hear.

Chambers is too small for heavyweight :deal

Me, I tell it like is. David Haye is Cherry picking his opponents, he don't want to fight anyone that can fight back. Haye expects to fight a couple bums at HW then get a title shot against Klitschko.

Normally, people who tell it like it is wait for actual facts to back up their opinions. That's telling it how it is. You, on the other hand, tell it how you imagine it will be.

So based on Haye's career so far, justify this charge of 'cherry picking'. There aren't many 22 fight pro boxers with a less cherry picked resume than David Haye. Try naming some if you disagree.

If you talk the talk , you need to walk the walk.

David Haye has done a lot of talking, but he don't want to fight anyone at Heavyweight; that is what is really pissing people off. If you claim you are going to destroy any HW, unify the division and take on a top 10 opponent in your first fight. But you try and fight guys like JD Chapman, or Kevin Johnson . Come on, that is pathetic.

I would have to agree with this. Haye is known for exaggerating. First he claimed he cleaned up CW when he didn't, now he's talking all this bull**** about cleaning up HW and only facing tough challenges. Chapman and Johnson isn't getting it done. How the hell can he expect to get in there with Wlad fighting guys like that?

Is this you 'telling it like it is' again? Via your telepathic hotline into David Haye's brain presumably...

Excuse me, I apologize. Haye wanting to take on the likes of Kevin Johnson and JD Chapman, is taking on a top 10 opponent and should set up a show down against Klitschko in early 2009. Wake the **** up! Haye expects a title shot in 'early 2009' fighting guys like that. Haye don't want to fight anyone and expects a title shot, that is clear by now.

Chambers would be a big step in the right direction. He doesn't have size or power, but he's got real skills. If Haye can KO chambers, or go the distance and win I will give him due respect. But he won't fight him: too risky. Haye should fight Ibragimov, already. You beat Iggy, you're the real deal. You get dusted- just like I think Haye would- you slither back to CW.

I'd like to see him fight James Toney, personally. But I think some opponents he could start with would be:

    Shannon Briggs
    Jameel McCline
    John Ruiz
    Sultan Ibragimov
    Oleg Maskaev

I think and of these guys would be a good test for him, as they have all been there before, but they're a little over the hill as well.

I honestly don't think he's cherry picking, it seems like they're just having prolems negotiating. I would love to see Haye's big mouth get shut just as much as anyone on here but I favour him against any of the opponents mentioned.

David Haye called JD Chapman the "ideal opponent" because he is big like Klitschko. He is not setting his standards very high.
