Both men played similar roles in the careers of Holmes and Wladimir, how would a match between them go? :think
Haye would be far to explosive for him,****eys chin doesn't stand up to Hayes power,a perfect type of opponent for Haye to beat.
Haye was buzzed by a left hook by Chisora. If it was Kooneys , he would have missed the 10 count. I also don't see Haye standing up to his body shots.
And Joe Louis was more than buzzed when Gallento hit him, thank goodness Butterbean didn't hit him instead. Are you really going to tell me Spinks was a harder puncher than Haye?
The knockdown Louis suffered against Galento was more of the "flash" variety. Louis got right up, more angry than hurt. Galento did stun Louis with another left hook in the fight, though. As to Haye-****ey, I think it's whoever lands first wins. Both had shaky chins, but on the whole I would slightly favour ****ey, because I think he has the best chance of landing early. I think Galento would have a serious chance against both.
You have to be more than rattled if you get floored/flash or not...Galento at 5'9 slow and more unrefined was not as dangerous as Bean . ****ey would absolutely smash him and so would Haye.
But he put one of the greats down with one shot. If he hits Haye, he's gone. And his toes wouldn't take it if Galento trod on them!
Other fighters have put Louis down even out of the ring. Haye is a proven HW ,I highly doubt a fat 5'9er at 230 is doing much to him. On the thread topic..Haye would be just to athletic for ****ey to keep up with.
Haye would fight Gerry the same way he did Wlad. The difference would be that ****ey would target the body to slow Haye down. Gerry would have a few shaky moments, but his power and body punching would be the difference. ****ey by 8th round stoppage.
