Cant wait for this, puts Odliander Solis to shame. Here's Haye, already the undisputed cruiserweight champion, about to take on a former undisputed heavyweight champion, and meanwhile Solid is about to take on Julius "the towering inferno" Long!
If Rahman Shows up in shape for a change he will knock Haye the **** out. If he is out of shape. Haye may knock him out or still get KTFO himself.
The Rahman of 4 5 years ago would beat him, but Hasim is old, battle-worn, out of shape and way past his prime. He doesn't have the handspeed or the legs at his age to get to Haye, which means his chances are reduced to a punchers chance at best. Haye on the other hand is prime, powerful and athletically gifted.

a "prime" Julius Long? This is the 7ft2 guy who got beat by all 6ft of Leo Nolan before facing Audley? Julius Long is a TERRIBLE fighter, he has no co-ordination, no skills, nothing but size to offer. Solis is perfectly capable of stepping up in class right now, fights with Julius Long are a waste of his time. He should be taking on ranked journey, veterans who have some pedigree, guys who were former contenders and now gatekeepers. Julius Long is nothing but a side-show. I dont see Solis getting praise for fighting Long either, he deserves ridicule for taking on someone so blatantly beneath him.
Kind of a fitting opponent, since I think Haye will become a bit of a Lennox Lewis figure (ie. the boxer which everyone expects they can knock out with one punch, and also the boxer against which they can never find it) and Rahman's name is forever built off of one punch against Lewis. I see this as a fairly tactical fight, with both boxers working off of the jab and looking to set up the right hand. I give Haye, as the younger, faster and more hungry boxer, the better chance at connecting with the right hand more often. Rahman isn't a body (as Bonin was) so it won't be a demolition, but I think Haye will land a series of combinations at some point mid-way through the fight and finish Has-been Rahman off.
much obliged, thank y'all. Just wanna ask Ding, how do you see this fight working out? Your a pro, your insight is valuable, do you think Haye has much to worry about here? In the most recent Rahman fights I've seen he's still got power, and he is experienced, but when I saw him fight its his legs that seem to have gone. He's totally flat-footed and cant move well at all. He struggled so badly with Zuri Lawrences mobility, and if you saw Haye - Mormeck you'll have seen how well David Haye moves to avoid pressure. In fact it reminds me of the Hatton - Mayweather fight, in that Haye used to ring well to stop Mormeck's pressure from ever being really effective. Mormeck was aggressive and powerful but Haye managed to move out of danger pretty well, wait for Mormeck to tire, then pounced as soon as he saw Mormeck was losing faith. Rahman doesn't come forward with the same speed as Mormeck, he doesn't cut off the ring at all like Mormeck, and I cant see him trapping Haye and causing him trouble. A few years ago, and when he was in shape, maybe he coulda, but certainly not anymore.
