If Haye wins on the weekend, he'll have won one of 'The big 3' and will have a better Heavyweight Legacy than Hide. It's that simple.

 

Haye seems to look more of an heavy than Hide did. Haye is taller and looks to have filled out well.

Like Hit me HARDER said it all really depends on this weekend. Hide was a champ at heavy and Haye is yet to do so.

 

If Haye beats Valuev he already has a better heavyweight resume than Hide.

In a prime for prime matchup I'm not sure, the winner would probably be whoever landed first.

Hide was a two time WBO champ. He had the bottle to fight two of the biggest names in heavyweight boxing, Riddick Bowe and Vitali Klitschko.
Don't you consider the comment you made to be a bit premature?
Haye could lose big time to Valuev and Hide could win a title at Cruiserweight.
Would you rate a man who lost to Valuev and Carl Thompson over a dual WBO heavyweight champion and Cruiserweight champion?

 

WBA and the big three??? :huh Read a few of the other postings regarding the WBA and see if people class them as big three.

 

The OP asked who will have the better legacy, therefore we have to speculate. The poster you replied to said, 'IF Haye beats Valuev', and if he does then he will have a better resume than Hide at HW. Fighting Bowe and Vitali and getting KOed both times does not add anyything to your resume, that would happen to a lot of people, I could fight them both and get KOed...it wouldn't mean anything.

 

Exactly you wouldn't put that on your C.V.

 

All the belts are terrible in their own way nowadays, but the WBA is the oldest and for that reason alone is still considered to be one of the best belts to win. I personally think the fighter who holds it makes the belt what it is, but despite the HW Valuev/Ruiz/Chagaev merry-go-round, the WBA is still a decent belt.

 

Well, in comparison, falling apart against Carl Thompson and one of your biggest wins being against Enzo Macc isn't that glittering either.

 

Haye fought Thompson in only his 10th fight, it was just way too soon, but Haye nearly bombed him out anyway. Thompson was a solid operator and would give anyone trouble in their 10th fight. You cannot take anything away from Haye for KOing one of the other belt holders in 2 rounds - no matter how you try and spin it that is considerably better than being KOed by anyone, regardless of how good they are.

 

Haye stops him early. He would be way too much for Hide IMO.

 

Well "if" Haye wins the WBA belt and "if" Hide wins a Cruiserweight title, perhaps they would get it on.
