Oquendo was a top 10 heavy. Greer wasn't a strong contender but he was a good journeyman. Toney didn't just beat them or outbox them, be heat the living **** out of them. He knocked Greer out. When Toney is in shape he knocks most of these guys out. When he's almost 250lbs he can be beat. The only thing keeping Toney away from a championship fight is Toney.
Would Toney put his Precious IBA IBO or what ever thank title was on the line?:huh winner would be definitely considered as the Peoples Champion:hey:yep
Its IBA Heavyweight championship. IBO is a fake belt and belongs to the trash can And of course he would put his prestigious IBA championship on the line.
I haven't gotten to read the whole thread so I don't know if this is a wind up but james toney shouldn't be anywhere near a title shot eliminator, nor should beating him be a gateway to one.
And both klits would beat any prime steroid juiced toney, let alone the brain damaged, old shot and fat one of today.
Agreed / as Vitali is 40 year old now toney s age would t be such a factor. Actually that fight would be an idéal farewell fight for both.
Don't act like a win over Shamrock would mean ANYTHING for Toney at this point **currently Shamrock is making a joke of his career. Foolishly carrying on, despite brutal KO loses .. so if Toney knocks him out (which wouldn't shock me) it wouldn't be worth a damn Toney beating a way past it 44 or 45 year old Shamrock won't mean a great deal
After Toney gets choked out by Ken Shamrock a Haye fight could be fun. But honestly I see Toney getting caught with something big and stopped. I doubt this fight would even happen
