David Haye vs. Joe Calzaghe

Calzaghe has limited power at 168 so how on earth is he going to carry his power to 190, calzaghe is one of the best p4p fighters around and one of the best british boxers of all time but he has limitations. Haye isn't jeff lacy he is a 6'3 220 heavyweight who boils down to the cruiserweight limit he has legit ko power and is a decent boxer. Calzaghe slapps alot of his punch's was never a one punch ko artist and since his hands started breaking he puts less power in his punch's how can he compete with haye???

 

This is stupid. If this fight is at cruiserweight then Calzaghe will be carrying at least an extra 32lbs and he will not be as fast or slick as he usually is. Haye has power the likes of which Calzaghe has never encountered. Haye is too damn big for Calzaghe to beat. He might win a few rounds if he gets on his bike and runs, but the moment Haye unleashes a combo on him he's getting knocked the **** out.

 

The moment Haye tries to unleash a combo, he'll miss and be countered with several slaps. If Haye was as deadly as people were making him out to be be, he'd have stopped all his opponents in 3. People get carried away with the Bonin KO. He wouldn't look nearly as quick and accurate against Calzaghe.

Haye might stop him late...but we all know about Haye's stamina.

 

Haye would walk through calzaghe's slaps and just bang him out joe's a great boxer but this thread is stupid.

 

Stop sucking Calzaghe's piles you'll catch something nasty.

People are talking about Haye as though every time he throws a jab, it carrys KO power, perfect accuracy and blinding speed. That clearly isn't the case.

 

I cant see Calzaghe beating Haye at Cruiserweight in fact I cant see him winning against many of the top ranked Cruiserweights going around. He is a Light Heavyweight at most.

 

It isn't but how has calzaghe got the power to discourage haye fom walking straight through his punch's and hitting him with any number of huge shots. You talk about haye like he has no boxing skill he was the world championship silver medalist so it's not like he can't box.

 

this is an absolute ****-take of a thread. Haye's jab is enough to knock people cold. Watch the bonin fight, that guy wasnt great but he was a legitimate 230lbs Heavyweight and he got starched in the first round by a jab.

Haye can KO him, easily. Marciano never had to deal with such power and skill.

 

It would not be on skills if Haye beat Joe.. Ifthey met at a light heavy catchweight.. Joe would just make Haye look very flawed.. For god sake he is just a puncher.. Lacy was pure raw and Calzaghe made him sorry he ever made the fight.. Haye is just a basic heavyweight puncher who has a horrendous chin.. Calzaghe is oneof the best fighters UK has ever had, arguably the best ever..
