Haye was a pretty big puncher and was explosive, Norton's kryptonite was unorthodox punchers who would push him around & hurt him early. I think Haye actually has a big shot early on if he really jumps on Norton. if Norton can get his momentum going and doesn't get caught early on his class will take over and he either stops Haye late or wins on points.
I actually think Norton would chin Haye, not the other way round. Norton fought a higher level of fighter.
Norton's trouble was with left-hookers. He usually did well against the jab-and-straight-right-hand guys. I would pick him by decision.
This thread is an insult to Norton. The man beat a still excellent Ali, and just barely lost to a prime Holmes. Bum ass Haye would be an easy fight for him. TOTAL insult to Norton. And please, no dimwits bring up Norton's vulnerability to punchers in this thread. Haye is NOT Foreman and he's not Shavers.
Ken Norton will be too much for Haye. Good fight while it lasts cos KN will force the action and Haye would have to fight back. Id say Norton wins 8 outta 10
I say Norton by decision and see Haye on the ropes getting his rib cage getting banged on, making for a long night.
Haye would knock him out, easily so. This is a mismatch. I see Haye feiting from outside, and landing big clubbing shots with his ultra fast hands right on Norton's soft chin. And its all over. Norton has nothing to trouble Haye with.
