Lewis was simply on another level. Haye is fast and has KO power but it's nothing Lewis hasn't seen before and overcome with ease. I think Haye is quick enough and elusive enough not to get blown out straight away but I can't see him making it beyond 6 rounds before Lewis cracks his with the right hand and knocks him clean out.
Easy nights' work for Lewis. The only chance Haye would have is a lucky punch on an overconfident Lewis otherwise Lewis is a couple of levels better.
Is Haye one of the all time biggest head cases ? What has he even been doing in the time since he fought his last fight .. he's not young, relies in this division on speed and he has not entered a ring in eighteen months .. is he retired , injured, what ? He'd have zero shot against Lennox BTW
This is how I see it. Haye is not without talent, but he has basicaly campaigned to get to the top of the heavyweigth division by default. Lewis is on another level.
This is a joke thread, right ?? Haye wouldn`t even make a good sparring partner... Lewis by murder round 2 !!!
Pretty much the Wlad fight. Lewis doesn't bite on Haye's feints and keeps him on the end of his jab. Haye doesn't force anything, falls out of the clinches to avoid getting mauled, and goes the distance.
Haye finds himself "unable to push off" due to the canvas being too slippery because it is covered in his ****.
Haye wins by brutal stoppage. Too fast, too powerful, too smart, slick and elusive. Probably one the most dangerous counter-punchers ever in the hws. If not the best. Lennox didn't have the footwork nor the stamina or the workrate of Wlad, hence he couldn't have neutralized every Haye's opportunity with the legs. He would have get tagged by some serious bombs, and once Haye sense blood, he's an amazing finisher. By the way, Haye is only two inches shorter than Lummox, but he moves nothing like him.
Don't be silly. This fight could only take place if the ring announcer said, " Ladies and Gentlemen. The rules of the contest are as follows. If Lewis hits Haye with a closed fist, he is disqualified. He is ONLY allowed to slap Haye with backhanders." Even if this were the case Lewis wins by KO inside 6 rounds. In his day David was a very good Cruiserweight, Lewis was an EXCEPTIONAL Heavyweight. Therein lies the difference.
Haye would likely run, but Lewis was a superior hunter than Wladimir - the latter's always fighting with himself whether to box or apply the pressure. Lewis' chopping right and great uppercut would probably get David out of there after one too many attempts at lunging in. There's a good chance it doesn't go past six.
