I said I would rather see him fight a Klitschko. But other than that - I would rather not see him fight again - He's made enough of a mockery out of British Boxing Fans as it is. He should show some repsect to the sport and leave now.
What are you on about? I'll make it easy for you: does either side have a good reason to not agree the fight? Keep your answer to single syllables like "yes" or "no" if that gets too complicated for you.
That's the thing, i don't think he thinks that he is that good, hence his career unfolding the way it has. He is a glass cannon and doesn't have a real sense of pride. He likes being a celebrity and earning very good money for not a lot of effort, boxing is just a vehicle for his fame, the guy wouldn't be fighting in the 20's, he isn't a fighter. He is just a ****ing charlie to be honest and the sooner he retires the better.
True words there. You summed Haye up perfectly. He's not a fighter at heart - I agree - so it makes you wonder why he bothered taking up fighting in the first place ? Why not be a basketball player or something ? Like -I like boxing - and have done some training myself - and sparring - but the reason I never choose to be a amateur or pro boxer is because I didnt really fancy the idea of being punched in the face as a way of life. There are easy hobbies / careers. Haye said recently - he is retiring at 31 years old - cos he dosent want to get punched in the face anymore - but why get so deep into the sport - as a world class amateur and professional champion - and then start worrying about getting punched in the face ? He is calling himself the World Heavyweight Champion - now thats a serious claim to make - if you really are that - getting punched in the face should not worry you. The new issue of Boxing Monthly I was flicking through today............. Haye said - the fight with Audely had no significance on the world stage - but it made some serious dough. Hayes a hypocrite. He slagged off the Klitshckos for fighting bum after bum - but they were just lining up easy opponnets - for easy money - just business sense. Then Haye goes and lines up a even worse opponnet than the Klitschkos have been feeding on - and justifys it by saying it made him serious dough. David - had it not occurred to you ? =- the reason why the Klitschkos were beating up them bums - is because it was making them serious dough too. atschatschatsch
Did anyone read the article about a posible Haye vs Mormeck re-match in today's Boxing News? Reading between the lines of what Booth said, I think the fight is signed already... There is no "might", "could" or "possibly" but "Will"...
He has no concrete next opponent, Mormeck is apparently on the list of people they're looking at though, Adam Booth said it in some interview.
