David Haye vs Mormeck II

If and when this fight gets signed I'll give Haye all the abuse he deserves for it. Until then I'd like to think it won't happen.

 

The way things are going Haye is to be seen as no different than Hide or Akinwande, seems Lewis and Fitzsimmons are the only Brit heavies to match their potential.

Haye's heavyweight record is: Bonin, Barrett, Valuev, Ruiz, Harrison, maybe Mormeck... boy or boy, if only all fighters had Froch's balls!

 

No one ever remembers that the fight against Delaney was also at Heavy...

 

Froch didn’t really have a choice though. If he didn’t push for the big fights and give up home advantage he’d have never made any money. He just didn’t have a huge fanbase outside of the Midlands.

Haye, on the back of the Valuev fight, can basically pick and choose his fights. He’s got the freedom because he brings in the money. Carl never had that, so his balls are a combination of attitude and necessity.

It’s still to be much praised – he’s probably my favourite active British fighter.

I do, but that is hardly a real heavyweight fight, and there was a gap too.

Also Delaney was coming off a punishing 8th round stoppage to Enzo Maccarinelli where he was knocked down numerous times.

Haye just finished off a already badly abused fighter.

 

He claims his legacy is complete.

He also says - as if he has had deep thought about it - he ackcnowledges that he wont be remebered as the greatest heavyweight of all time.

- talk about a understatement.

He will barely be remebered as any kind of heavyweight.
