After all the talking he did, Haye now chooses not to fight either Klitschko. That is one of the biggest chicken moves I've seen in the last years. The guy definitely lost the little respect I still had for him now. All this guy does is talk, and so many on here fell for it - the saviour of the HW division, don't make me laugh... All he did in over one year in the HW division was beat a shot to pieces Monte Barrett and delay other contenders chances at a title-shot with the Klits. Wow! If he becomes the WBA belt-holder in november (which is far from being a given), it will mean no unification with the Klits but defenses against John Ruiz, Meehan and the likes, and a possible rematch with Valuev... Hell, I can't stand Valuev, but I'll root for the russian in november. I'd rather see Ruiz as the WBA belt-holder again than Haye.
I'm surprised by this match up. Valuev is a big, strong heavyweight with a great chin. As far as I know he has never been floored. I reckon he will gradually grind down Haye and stop Haye late in the fight. Haye doesnt have a great chin and if he cannot put Valuez away early, then I dont see him making it to the final bell. Valuev takes this by KO.
Haye KO 10. Mosley showed that with accurate punching against a lesser boxer, you can KO anyone. I expect Haye to win every round until he KO's the 7ft 2in joke
think he haye might loose but want him to win and if he does it will be decision he will need to work on his stamina tho cause
I've gone Haye KO but if i'm being pedantic i think it will be a TKO and the ref will be forced to stop the fight after about 20 unanswered punches from Haye
Someone else suffering with a serious lack of logic. STOP. Let your brain do some work before your mouth starts moving and you might start to see the logic behind Haye fighting Valuev. For a start Haye didn't pull out of a fight with Vitali because a contract was never signed. Yet again Haye has been offered all sorts of bull**** contracts (which the Klitschkos have every right to do because Haye hasn't earnt his shot) and Haye has instead decided to fight Valuev to earn a bit of money and win a title to gain a bargaining chip in any future negotiations with the Klits... it's not ****ing rocket science but it is good business for all involved including the Klits and the fans too
While I find Haye's behaviour to be appalling, and his lack of testicular fortitude to be repugnant, there is one glimmer of hope. If he can indeed win the strap, and if he can then be shamed into actually fighting a Klitchko (ha-****ing-ha like that will happen) then there is a chance to bring the division one step closer to unification. Of course, once he stomps all over that giant tomato can called Valuev, he will be so busy with his WBA mandatories against legendary fighters like Ruiz and Meehan that the Klits will just kinda fade out of his sights... The chance of Haye fighting a Klit? Maybe 10%. The chance of Valuev fighting a Klit? Somewhere below 0%. It's not much of a silver lining unless you are a mad Haye fanatic and dont care how bad he looks to the rest of the world.
You are wrong about Haye. There is no way in hell he does not want to fight Wlad. After he KOs Valuev he will be pushing for the Wlad fight and he will be in a much stronger position as a belt holder. All the people saying he is this and that were also saying that he would not face a genuine heavy when he moved up that he would be starched by any top 10 heavy. Well he is now fighting for a title against a guy who has never been stopped but who is **** and a reflection of how crap the division is. The original contract he agreed to with Wlad and Vitali was a joke, but he signed it. I don't buy for a second that he bottled it, the guy has taken risks his entire career. Fighting Thompson in his 10th fight, going over to Paris to fight Mormeck. He has never been a safety first fighter and trust me the Wlad fight will happen.
At the very best I can imagine this: that Haye does want to fight Wlad... eventually. Knowing that he is not ready to fight either Klit, he is taking it slow; going to actually get some more experience and fight some decent heavies before taking on the most dangerous fight of his life. I can imagine that Haye wants to fight either of the Klits in maybe 2 years time. With more exeprience on his side, with the Klits aging, he may then have a better chance. Right here, right now? He would **** himself if push came to shove and he was in the ring with either Klit. Cause as much as he runs his mouth, as much as he has proven to have no balls, he has proven that he knows the truth - he aint ready to fight the Klits.
Exactly.... i'm finding it hard to find logical and neutral minded people on here today... you have Haye fans saying it's Vitalis fault because he was offering ridiculous contracts again... and pretty much everyone else saying Haye is a *****.... very few people are actually seeing the big picture in this
Here is Hayes side of the story in his own words.... makes it easier if we use facts and not speculation! http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/sport/...ns-contract-to-fight-nikolai-valuev-on-nov-7/
