After watching Oleg against Peter there is no way he could ever be a major threat in the HW division. Golota is an old fighter who lost speed too, but he's been getting the job done. Oleg is pretty much finished. Prove me wrong. I actually picked Oleg to beat Peter, and I give credit to Peter.. but I won't overrate him though.

LOL, imagine Briggs-Haye? Haye would be throwing 10 punch combos bouncing right off while Briggs would be doing one punch rounds...

Yea, because Haye's chicken neck and small head makes his own chin so great.

Barney Rubble a better choice than Golota IMO... and frankly, world champion or not, I'm thinking Golota could beat Maskaev. Golota showed a lot more against big McBride than Oleg showed against Peter... a lot.

Hes a decent step for haye, maskaev was champ not 2 long ago so id say hell give haye a few problems, still say haye would knock him out before 6 tho, it would be a good steppingstone for the 1 he says he wants most Klitschko

Terrible styles match-up for oleg. Maskaev crumbles under the pressure.

Haye KO somewhere between rds 1-3

Why take the risk? Haye's management can set him up to look good against an extremely chinny stationary target that is still a recognizable name. If Haye looks impressive, odds are he will, they can lobby for a title shot or at least a big payday.

Anyone who has seen Maskaev's last two fights knows he is not a legitimate top 10 but he is still ranked there so Haye gets off on a technicality.
You know Haye and his handlers were having a good laugh when they saw poor old Oleg still hanging around the top 10. FFS the guy was on unsteady legs at the staredown with Peter. There were times in that fight that he and Peter looked like two old bums fighting over the last sip of Buckfast.

Have you ever seen a slower jab than Oldlegs'? Haye is gonna come over the top of that and decapitate him.

You can say all you want about Oleg being a champ not so far ago and him having a recognized name and staying in top 10 and all but that won't change the fact that the outcome is too predictable which makes this fight an actual no contest

    What's buckfast?

And as old and slow and beaten up as he is, Oleg does have a puncher's chance here.
