I think Haye's power is getting over estimated here slightly...

Why is it unreasonable? I don't think anyone is saying that Haye woudl knock him out - It's whether Haye could get him on the ropes on throw 10 or 20 power shots. If that happens, the chances are the strict referees are going to stop the bout. Especially if Haye has been potshotting McCall for several rounds, which he would be doing.

haye would have to jab/pot shot and stay away.

mccall is slow as **** now, never was that skillfull, but has power and a granite chin.

mcall would be fighting in slow motion in this fight compared to haye, but haye would have to be carefull and watchfull for the 10 rounds.

in fact its not a bad match up to get haye used to heavies.

Any claims that the overrated and undersized puncher Haye can stop McCall are just further proof that Haye has delusional followers. :-(

Undersized? He's an inch taller than McCall and is aiming to fight at around 235lbs (he weighed in at 217lbs against Bonin when he was specifically not bilking up so he could get back down to CW to fight Mormeck), thats exactly the same as McCall weighed in his last fight.

Here is a bunch of HWs that managed ok, I don't think size was an issue with many of their losses (weight, height, reach):

    George Foreman 220 6'3½" 82"
    Larry Holmes 222 6'3" 81"
    Muhammed Ali 215 6'3" 80"
    Ken Norton 215 6'3" 80"
    Michael Spinks 200 6'3" 76"
    Evander Holyfield 217 6'2½ 78"
    Oliver McCall 235 6'2" 79½"
    Joe Frazier 215 5'11½" 73"
    Mike Tyson 220 5'11½" 70"
    Michael Moorer 225 6'2" 78"
    Donovan Ruddock 235 6'3" 82"
    Frank Bruno 230 6'3" 82"
    Ray Mercer 230 6'1" 77"

    David Haye 225? 6'3" 80"

Don't let a handful of todays oversized HWs fool you into thinking that they are the optimal size.

My new prayer: Please, oh please baby Jesus, make this fight happen so that the delusional David Haye fans will shut up once and for all and realize that Haye was made in the image of Monte Barrett.

    Thank you,

    Your fan

Haye is naturally bigger than Barrett, will weigh more than Barrett, hits much harder and is a better boxer. He had a better amateur career and his professional achievements already eclipse Barrett's.

Aside from that, almost exactly the same.

Can Haye beat McCall, definitely, can he be an easy knockout victim for McCall, for sure. I think it comes down to wether McCall could land his big right hand on Hayes weak chin, Hayes got good reflexes, but a very low guard, which is open for a right hand over the top, something McCall is known for. This fight would be a 50/50 for me, I could see Haye winning a hard fought decision, but I could also see McCall knocking him out early in the fight like he did against Lewis, or late like he did against Awkinwande.

Haye's gotta be careful in this one, it could turn out to be another Carl Thompson match, but I'm going with Haye UD.
