    :rofl:rofl

Seriously, do you think Sam Peter, who's punches are the slowest in the Heavyweight division, is going to be able land with any meaningful shots on Haye?? he couldn't even land on Klitschko, and Haye is faster than Klitschko.

You're mad. Adam Booth said it when being interviewed post-Enzo Mac, Sam Peter would be the easiest fight for them at Heavyweight because his handspeed is awful and his feet are lead.

I'm mad? Yes sorry to bring up a couple factoids. So just please stop the non-sense.

John "Slow-Motion" Ruiz was landing double jabs on Haye. I have no idea where this entire "Haye has great reflexes and never get hit" myth comes from? Watch Haye's fights for Christ's sake, Haye's defense is a joke and he takes punches from lesser fighters all time time.

If Adam Booth said that Peter would be so terribly easy to fight then how does he explain a 38 year old Ruiz landing on Haye? I remember the post-Ruiz interview of Booth "Yea blabla huge injury... couldn't spar.. blabla.. little ring rust .. blabla.. gotta work on David's defense blabla". A lot of excuses like always, but the matter of fact is Haye's defense sucked. It always did. He never improved. It sucked in the amateurs and it sucks now.

Peter would land plenty on Haye, without question. The question is only if Haye will survive the odd power punch and be fast on his legs for the entire fight to cruise to a comfortable UD.

Where does this myth come from that Haye has this amazing speed?
Don't get me wrong hes not slow by any stretch of the imagination but he is very hitteble.
Ruiz, Barret and many others were able to hit him pretty easily.

I really can't see him stop Peter tbh.... Haye has a very low punch output and he does not hit as hard as Wlad so .... he either wins a comfy UD or he gets tagged and stopped in the later rounds as his stamina is pretty suspect.

People need to stop believing what Haye says (he makes you think hes some kind of HW version of RJJ) and just look at his actual fights.

So you are the guy to talk with, if I want to hear couple nonbiased factoids about Haye? :nut

Quotes like this does make you look little bit biased thought.

Indeed its hilarious that you don’t see how your hatred for David/nut hugging for Klitchkos is blinding your judgment.

Read before you reply. I said above I think Haye would win 7 out of 10 fights against Peter. Does that denote Haye hatred?

I just doubt he'd "easily pummel Peter and stop him within 3 rounds" as some ******ed fanboys were claiming. I supported my position with ample facts and numerous comparisons to previous Haye opponents, yet I see little new facts that support any of the "super easy TKO win for Haye" theory.

Peter wins by KO. But Haye will be too afraid of Peter to step in the ring with him.

Sam Peter is wrong kind of opponent for Haye. Haye has dynamite in both hands but is not the kind to control the fight with boxing and avoiding exchanges. With Peters chin, there are chances Haye can punch himself out or get caught in an exchange.

Hahah Ruiz barely managed to land on Haye. I mean this is boxing, of course the occasional jab will get through in a world championship bout, but Ruiz didn't land a single punch of substance the whole fight. A few scraping jabs is not evidence of how weak Haye's defense is.

You're also overlooking that Haye gave Ruiz the first and only, proper, prolonged beatdown of his career. It wasn't a competitive fight, it was 9 rounds of beatdown. Ruiz might not be pernell whitaker but he's been the distance with practically everyone in the division worth giving a **** about for the last 10 years.

Same goes for Barrett, he got a few shots in, so what? This is boxing, what do you expect? Did Barrett land any combinations? no. Did he look like he was ever going to win the fight? no. Barrett got absolutely demolished. I mean, compare the way in which Haye managed to put Barrett down with every punch that connected with the way David Tua struggled with him.

Besides, Ruiz and Barrett are a lot quicker with their hands than Sam Peter. They don't have Peter's power, but they're better technically skilled fighters than he is.

The hatred for Haye is hilarious on here. In light of the Harrison fight it is somewhat deserved, no question about that, but there's no point trying to be a historical revisionist about it. Haye probably has the fastest hands in the division, about equal with Eddie Chambers, and his power is severe. Even if you don't like the guy these are the facts, there's no point denying them.

Anyone who thinks Sam Peter would beat Haye clearly hasn't seen an overweight, slow, ponderous heavyweight get easily outboxed by a younger, lighter and generally superior athlete before.

I don't have any hatred for Haye as a boxer -- I don't like how he was lying to and misleading us boxing fans outside of ring though.

I am merely pointing out beating Peter won't be "easy" for Haye, neither would he "easily stop him within 3 rounds". Fighting Peter would in fact be Haye's toughest test at HW thus far. Much tougher than a feather-fisted 38 year old Ruiz, a slow-motion circus clown like Valuev or a 38 year old Barret who has been punched from post to post and dropped three times something like 10 years by Wlad before Haye even faced him.

I never said Peter would certainly beat Haye; I actually doubt that, simply because Haye is the better boxer. Peter has a decent chance but I'd think he would only win something like 3 out of 10 fights against Haye, landing a good combo after Haye tires after fruitlessly trying to KO Peter.

I don't have a problem with the love Haye is getting. Just do not translate him beating up a couple near 40 year olds into him "easily stopping" younger, more capable guys like Chambers, Chagaev or Peter. Again, he can win against all of those guys, but all three are tougher to beat than a borderline journeyman like Barrett or grandpops Ruiz.

    :patsch

Barret, Ruiz or Valuev none landed any meaningful punches or combinations in their fights.
One double jab or punch here and there doesn’t change it
