Perhaps a overwhealming kayo by Haye would discourage any future bouts for Briggs. Dave has a chance to perform a valuable public service.

Not sure what to make of this one - would be an American name on the Hayemaker's CV, but face it.......

    Shannon Briggs is ****ing shite.

Haye should definatly take this fight, a big american name.

He should take Briggs and Rahman as his first 2 HW fights. 2 easily winnable fights and big american names get him noticed in the usa.

Then take a top10 HW fight.

    Then fight someone like povetkin.

    Then WLAD.

Not to bad a timeline you have there. Briggs and Rahman would be solid preperation for the harder punching of the HW division, yet not to much risk.

I want Haye to fight the winner of Toney - Williams, but failing that Briggs is a good option.

    Any of the following would be a good fight for Haye;

    Hasim Rahman
    Shannon Briggs
    Jameel McCline
    John Ruiz
    James Toney
    Lamon Brewster

This is a dangerous fight for both men. Briggs can punch like nothing Haye has ever seen. If Haye can get past Briggs then I will start to believe that he is for real in the heavyweight division.

Yeh Briggs is one guy I would be worried about seeing Haye agaisnt, Haye coudl destroy him, but Briggs could ko anyone with 1 punch!

problem is, Briggs is only ranked by the WBO, there are easiar fights agaisnt higher ranked guys.

This is a fight that Haye can win. BUT i dont think he has an intelligient mentality in the ring to be ready to go the full 12. Briggs is big and slow and can be easily outworked by the much busier Haye.He also has a decent beard so a KO in my opinion is well out of the question. Haye can bang but he doesnt have LL heavyweight type power. Haye could easily outwork Briggs to a UD but being the type of fighter that Haye is a mid to late Briggs KO is more likely.
