this is dangerous. briggs can take a punch........haye would have to stick and move, and never ever get caught. he should win on points, but one right hand from briggs and this could go down the toilet for haye.

Briggs knocks him out with a counter left hook
People underestimate Briggs speed and explosiveness, he can be very fast for short periods of time and in the early rounds especially, if he lands 1 punch on Haye it will be goodnight

Haye won't make much noise at the heavyweight, he doesnt fight tall as he supposed to, and his chin is suspect

If Briggs could get his weight down to 240 its not even close. Haye gets flattened in record time. Briggs was an excellent boxer with serious power when he younger and much lighter. These days he prefers to remain musclebound at around 270.His stamina is already bad as he has asthma and with the added weight it does him no favors.

Haye would ****ing murder Briggs! Briggs has little or no hunger and was dire in his fight with Lyackovich and was even worse against Ibragimov. Haye the strong, talented up n comer with an almighty whack wins this one inside the distance.

I'd rather see Haye take on a smaller heavy first. Chagaev for example. Haye is a better boxer than Briggs but its a massive jump in weight. Get into the grove and take on Rahman, Chagaev, Povetkin. Then look at the big champions like Wlad.

    He doesnt need Briggs.

To be honest Haye isnt. Briggs was an excellent amatuer who only lost out to Felix Savon but was the United States amateur champion. He only took up boxing when he was in his very late teens and had great success despite not having much of an amatuer background at that time.He was also a NY Golden Gloves champ. Briggs has some real skills but his size causes him way to many physical disadvantages.

Dont know anything about Briggs' amateur career to be honest so I wont pretend to. What I do know is the old bruiser I see labouring his way around a ring does not look as impressive as Haye does at the moment. But those meaty guns he has look more impressive than Haye's chin. Wouldnt fancy this fight for Haye at the moment.

If Haye can't beat Briggs, he isn't good enough to be the future of the HW division.

I expect Haye to take the fight if Briggs really called him out because he does not tend to back down from any challenge. I also expect Haye to knock him out as Briggs is not going to be as fast as a cruiser Hayes accumulation of heavy punches should do it.

Haye can win if he sticks and moves. But if he stands in front of Briggs for just one second he's getting KTFO! I figure this will happen in round 7.
