David Haye vs Tomasz Adamek ~~European Heavyweight superfight.

So you respect a guy that has does the most trashtalking and insulting in the heavyweight division???

 

It was 9 rounds over 2 fights actually (7 against Mormeck, 2 against Maccarinelli) but I do get the point you're trying to make. The thing is he didn't "run" before he was tested, he moved up because of the weight issues and also that there was nobody else left for him to face. As proven by the fact Adamek has ended up taking on the likes of Bobby Gunn and Johnathon Banks - there is nobody else better in that division. Haye had already won all the belts and had nothing to prove by staying there and beating up on a bunch of B-level fighters like that.

If Adamek had manged to do the same before making the jump up to h/w then that's fine but he hasn't has he? He has 1 win of any note which was his fight againt Cunningham and that is it. IMO knocking out the linear champ in his own back yard and then blasting out a fellow belt holder in 2 rounds is more impressive than what Adamek has achieved in the division so far. That's not to say he couldn't have the more impressive legacy than Haye if he drops back down but if he stays at heavyweight now then I think his achievements at cruiser will be outshone by what Haye did there.

Hayes way too quick for Adamek. Speed kills Adamek see the Dawson fight for evidence. Now add more power and you got your result.

 

I have to admit that Haye is not the most clever boxer in the world. I dont like his **** talk. But I respect him a lot, because he makes his fights wars, because he is very offensive figfhter. This is what is necessary in HW division now.

 

Adamek was uncomfortable in that weight. Thats why Dawson kicked his ass so easy.

Honestly, I'd lean twords Haye to win but won't be surprised or mad if Adamek won.
