HONESTLY I FEEL AS THOUGH HAYE WOULD USE ANGLES....SHANNON IS WAS SO SLOW TONIGHT...........DAVID HAYE TKO INSIDE 10 RDS....THERES NO WAY IN HELL TONIGHTS VERSION OF SHANNON BRIGGS WOULD BEAT DAVID HAYE ...:smoke
Who knows really. Haye isn't as big, and doesn't have the reach of Vitali, so perhaps Briggs would feel more comfortable and come out guns blazing against Haye. It definitely only takes one punch from Briggs landing, that's for sure.
Haye would win by knockout in 5th or 6th round but the chances of Briggs landing something big and getting the KO would be much higher than in the Klitschko fight.
Haye vs Briggs will be like Haye vs Valuev in which Haye will run around the ring using his speed but he won't ko tough Briggs. But if Briggs lands one big shot on Haye, you can bet Haye will be in big trouble. Briggs has proven he can a punch. I mean damn he hasn't been stop in over 12 years.
Either Briggs by KO or Haye by decision. Haye lacks the physical tools Vitali has which made it so difficult for Shannon to find the mark with his power shots. Haye, being much physically smaller, could be an easier target if he ever get lazy or careless. I give Haye a good chance of darting in and out to control the range and keep Shannon off balance, but I think Briggs would have a good chance to land a bomb against Haye at some point or another. Landing a bomb on Vitali is a tricky proposition. He's tall, rangy, and when you do get to him he's durable, has a good chin, and recovers quickly when stunned. For all of these reasons, I give Shannon a better chance against Haye, but I can definitely see Haye boxing his way to victory if he stays focused and avoids incoming fire for twelve rounds. Tough fight to call, IMHO.
Decision or TKO in favour of Haye. Haye would use his speed, and if he were to get Briggs in trouble...from a punch or tiredness, he would be all over him like Vitali should have been. Haye's stamina isn't great, but Briggs' is worse. Like someone has mentioned, this would be Haye boxing on the outside like he did Valuev.
Briggs was in shape and I have to give him respect. At least Briggs had the balls to fight Vitali, unlike the coward Haye. Briggs would probably knock Haye out, but Haye would run like pigs from a gun. Sour graps from Haye fans tonight. They are angry that their fake hero Haye is afraid of Klitschkos. Haye broke two contracts with Klitschkos, one signed and one implied. Haye knows he would get knocked out by Vitali or Vlad. Sour grapes Haye fans.............
Haye is NOT Vitali. You could expect the first three or four rounds to be interesting. I would give Briggs a chance as Haye's chin is not as sturdy as Vitaly's. I would favour Haye, but Briggs has the punch to pull the upset.
