Haye stops Briggs too good of a counter puncher against slower guys and too fast offensively for Briggs to do anything about it.
That paw may not be so effective against a guy that has quick feet and knows how to use the ring.... the paw works well against stationary fighters but not mobile fighters. Still think Vitali beats Haye but the paw won't do much
Haye is a shame for the boxing world. Let the people get excited and then let them down with some cheap excuses. :dead
Says the fool who claims a guy with 22 KO's out of 25 bouts has zero power. Not even Malignaggi has zero power. Fool.
Briggs would knock him out in 1 round as it's usually the case when he fights boxers with low/average punch resistance.
Vk done so well because he used his jab and backed it up with his right hand! now for the muppets that say hay would have no chance do you remember what happened inside 2 minutes against ruiz another guy who has not been stopped in years!!! ruiz would beat briggs easily! Haye will beat Vk by ko! haye has great head movement and is great at countering! tools which will be great against either of the brother and haye knows it!
Haye took 10 rounds to TKO a 38 year old Ruiz. But he'd knock out a roid & HGH crazed Briggs inside 3-4? Haye would win against Briggs but he would be very careful not too open up too early. Haye would be defensive and elusive because of Briggs' big right hand, at least in the earlier rounds. Against a feather fisted Ruiz he could box openly without worrying too much.
Haye beats the **** out of Briggs and probably stops him inside 7 rounds. People afterwards would deny him any credit, referencing the fact that Lewis already beat him 10 years ago.
You've written it like Haye had beaten SOMEONE before and his victory got denied afterwards :huh.... Ah, is it Ruiz?
Against the version of Briggs who fought Vitali on Saturday I would have expected the fight to have been stopped somewhere around 6 or 7 Briggs was starting to fade and Vitali didn't lay in and try to take him out. Haye would have swarmed him and got the ref to call it.
I would expect Haye to stop Briggs in the mid rounds. The Ruiz that Haye fought is better than the Briggs that Vitali just fought, and as such, Hayes performance was more impressive in my opinion. The fact people keep banging on about Briggs not being stopped in 12 years is also a none point really. If you're going to play that game then when was the last time Ruiz was stopped before Haye? And at least Ruiz had fought guys like Holyfield, Valuev, Chagaev, Rahman and Golota in that time. Now none of this means that Haye would beat Vitali, but I would give him a good chance as Vitali is no longer the fighter he once was. Haye just needs to stop talking and grow some balls.
Haye would not even engage with Briggs he would pot shot his way to a UD most likely. He wouldn't even risk it with Valuev who is slow as molasses. :roflatsch
