of course it would be a better fight, vitali is a real born fighter, so he would go for haye, not like wlad who was scared!

This is how I see it.

Haye isn't exactly the most aggressive fight. His fights are based on counter punching, stalking and that one punch power KO. He does have good power, that can't be denied.

His attributes over Vitali are obviously speed and movement. Wlad, who is faster than Vitali, even commented on how fast Haye was and missed quite a lot of times when they fought.

At 41, Vitali is still very fit in a cardiovascular sense. He showed against Chisora that he can still last the distance and not appear to be panting or sucking air a great deal (and that was with an apparent shoulder injury, also)

So you have a guy liked Vitali, who loves to engage and fight against a guy who doesn't throw a lot of punches, is fast and also uses his speed as his defence?

Haye would be looking for Vitali to chase him and counter, just as he did against Wladimir but that didn't work. Haye would have to change his mentality to an offensive mode and when he does that he has to deal with the never ending jab Vitali throws. It may not be harder than Wlad's but it certainly lands a lot more. The right hand would again land on Haye's face more, causing a gradual wear down.

Haye doesn't have the reach or in my opinion will, to jab a 6ft 7 guy for 12 rounds.
He could have success if he went to the body a lot, as Chisora did pretty well and it was clear the hard body shots were beginning to bother Vitali as he started to protect himself more and his body was becoming red.

So if he kept low and got under the jab and threw lefts and right to the body then maybe it would slow Vitali down. But I don't think he would do that.

Also, the fight won't happen but should it - I think Vitali would be more nimble and possibly train for speed and flexibility a bit more than he does in order to keep a good pace.

It's good for Haye to ask for a Vitali fight when he is 41 and winding down in boxing. But the guy had his chance against Wlad and was woeful. Plain and simple. He should be happy with his £10m pay cheque and the £3m or so he's getting for fight Chisora. Earned more with his mouth than he did with his fists at heavyweight level any way.

But Vitali would win the fight imo, more likely by KO than UD.

Vitali would be the favourate eben at 41 , it's the best fight out there though, can't think of a bigger one?
