I don't think it can ever hurt to be with a trainer like Roach, and Haye is adaptable enough as a fighter to improve under Roach and tweak things for each fight.

Only problem I see with it is making sure Haye gets full attention when he has big jobs with Pac then Khan, also the rest of his stable. As long as Booth is still on hand too I could see it working.

Remember, Pacquiao may only have one or two - if any - fights after Mayweather with his political aspirations. Win, lose or draw in March and I wouldn't be surprised if it's a homecoming 'gimmee' in the Philipines and retirement. Therefore Roach may well have plenty of time to give Haye as he gears up for possible Klitschko fights.

True, Roach says this may well be Pacquiao's last fight. I can see why he's eyeing Haye now, it makes sense. He needs another big name alongside Khan. He's got Rigondeaux coming up too but he's not a big name yet as a pro.

IMO, Roach is a win/win situation for Haye.

I can't see this happening in the immediate future, to any degree that it would make a difference anyway. Roach has his busy schedule and Haye very much seems like his own man/camp - I can't see him chucking money at Roach right now.

It seems like a bit of mutual minor self promotion (ego massaging) to me.

This story has gone a bit quiet. Freddie has been busy with Manny so unlikely he will join the camp with only two weeks til the Ruiz fight. Anyone else hear anything about this?

I don't think Booth was ever going to be replaced though, the story was that they approached Roach to come on board as an advisor.

Freddie's pad work elevates guys to new levels and his strategy takes the opponents down to another level.

    Roach can help Haye.

I'd say he probably just wants to keep his name in the news, more like.

I can't see him pairing up with Roach anytime soon, he seems to be very much his own man, can't see him paying Roach fees etc..

Edit: It's an old thread. Posted pretty much the same as above last time around and was right.

No one knows...David Haye better than Adam Booth.

Its a sign of fear..when a fighter wants change.

I think when Haye finally gets in with one of the Klitschkos having the knowledge of someone like Roach in the camp would increase his chances significantly.
