The sad thing is the punk and her handlers took all you saps for all you're worth so now she's a millionaire, assuming her handlers let her keep any of her ill gotten loot. I hope they don't.

If I were Haye, I would take 1 more fight before retiring, to get back some credibility, he cant go out like this, not leaving people with the perception they have of him, that said, if he does decide to do that, he might wanna make sure he finds a more deliberate opponent who cooperates with his style, or a slow guy, cause he dont want things to go bad to worse by losing.

Haye might not want to fight again though, its up to him.

He´s essentially saying Haye could never beat Wlad or become an undisputed HW champion because he has achieved all that he could achieve. Damn, thats pretty demoralizing, coming from your trainer.

Yes, Booth is probably speaking with Haye's hesitancy to agree.

    Haye will continue.

The only variable is how long it'll take for his ego to lure him back. IF he leaves, at all, that is.

But if he does *retire* he'll be back in the ring within one year, almost guaranteed.

Gotta love the excuses........ ""People must not forget he's a cruiserweight who fought a dominant heavyweight and so there is no shame in losing on points to Wladimir."

That's not what these idiots were saying before the fight. "We're going to knock Wladimir out, blah, blah, blah."

He needs to retire and fade into obscurity as soon as possible. He tried to trick the boxing world into thinking he was going to actually try to beat Wladimir, then he got into the ring, ran like a *****, and blamed it on a three week old "toe injury."

    GTFO!!!!

problem is they seem to back all the wrong fighters. Froch is one hell of a warrior and deserves all the accolades in the world, but seems to get little fanfare.

    so?

wlad's pre fight predictions of "punishing" haye, knocking him out & giving him a "pizzaface" weren't exactly spot on either.

every fighter predicts **** like that. it's called selling the fight.

show me one pre-fight interview where a guy says "yeah...i'm going to lose...probably a boring 12 round decision...my intention is to run away & clinch all night...it's going to be boring & painful to watch so don't forget to order it on sky box office for just £14.95."

imo Boothe's probably right in saying he achieved all he could. this is not saying his (esp HW) achievements were all that profound, just that he has reached his limit (i.e, not a dominant HW), shouldn't be able to sell either a rematch w Wlad or a match w Vitali (emphasis on shouldn't) without building back up a bit (which haye doesn't want to do). So why not retire, he's had a descent career and done some great marketing to get some huge cash

You are correct. Haye did a great job of selling the fight, and I'm sure he made a boatload of money for it.

The problem is that Haye and Booth can't "man-up" and admit that they got beat by a better fighter and give credit where credit is due. They just want to make excuses to try and salvage as much of Haye's "legacy" as they can.

And in Wlad's defense, it's tough to execute any kind of gameplan when your opponent will not engage in the least.

But again..... you are correct that all fighters MUST hype their fights. It just rubs me the wrong way when the fight itself comes no where close to the hype or expectations.
