Why would I look out for a man who's retiring in less than a year?

He's athletic with fast hands and good power, but than again Sultan had these attributes as well. I have my doubts he'll engage Wlad like most are hoping for, I fear he'll fight off the back foot like he did against Valuev, looking for openings that may not come.

Great run at cruiser, but so far at heavy I'm more impressed with the achievements of Adamek and Chambers.

I am going to dispute this claim. His opposition at HW has been very bleak even by today's standards:

    - Barrett: had a losing record over the past 5 years (3-6)

    - Valuev: coming off a 1 year layoff, battling injuries, has been inactive since

    - Ruiz: semi-retired, haven't fought live opponent for 2 years

    - Harrison: no comment

And a lack of quality opposition. I'm not very impressed with Haye at all.

Hayes offensive aparatus is every bit as good as his suporters claim. He has the power to hurt anybody he hits cleanly and superb reflexes. He is also a good if unorthodox ring general.

Unfortunately certain weaknesses are apparent from his last few filmed fights. His stamina is clearly a problem. Only he knows how good or bad his chin is at this point, but the way he fought Valuev leads me to suspect that he knows it is no great shakes.

Despite his issues, he probably does pose the greatest threat to the Klitschko brothers at this point due to his offensive arsenal.

any man that fight A Farce for there manitory is a ****ing Puss bag. Haye is the biggest let down in the HWD. I though he would be fighitng 3-4 times a year. Calling the HWs bums and then fights the biggest one of all time.

David haye needs to pull out the dempsey plan for the klitschkos..actually his style does remind of dempsey....however...i dont think haye has it..and i thiink the klitschkos are too good.

Its blasphemous to make comparisons between Jack Dempsy and David Haye. Have a word with yourself...

Haye V Harrison. Worst heavyweigh title fight EVER!
David Haye. Worst heavyweight champ EVER!

Im not saying Haye is a future all time great..im just saying if you watch tape of them they actually fight in a similar way..movements..stance...bob and weave...all that....kind of similar...

Does "athleticism" mean facing weak ass opponents with an unrefined skillset and desperation tactics?

Or does he dunk on his opponents?

I've been watching out for Haye since 2001.

Look, he has a puncher's chance against Wlad, and maybe the speed to catch an OLD Vitali, but he probably will never have the balls to fight them.
He's not really much of a fighter, he's reached the stage where he's looking elsewhere for a career. Expect some film roles coming soon, that may be where you need to watch out.

He's a bit better than Herbie Hide. Frank Bruno would have ripped his head off.
But he'll make more money that both put together.

It means speed, reflexes and co-ordination obviously.
