David Haye will be too fast and slick for Anthony Joshua

lets just think here a minute, barry mcguigan thinks the boxer his son coaches will beat a rival fighter. actually you know what he must be reading the forums looking to see other primal pledge and other peoples opinions are on this before giving an interview to sky lol calm down

 

thats because your line of reasoning is the most obvious for haye to utilise his strengths against joshua. nobody is going tp say that haye will go out an slug toe to toe with joshua are they.

 

My concern for Joshua is that it doesn't have natural head movement, Tyson in his prime was almost impossible to hit, a constantly moving target. Joshua I think will always step into the ring with a little bit of "hopefully I hit you on the chin before you hit me" as not sure you can teach that a bit like you can't teach rhythm

 

Haye still gonna be a force I reckon. Good to have him back.

 

I disliked Haye prior to the Wlad fight but have always seen him as extremely dangerous. I did not even find the fight boring. It always felt like something could happen in either direction.
The **** that was talked about Haye was understandable but not really realistic in terms of Haye being a bad fighter. With Wlad declining I believe Haye has a small window of 2 or so years where he might rule the division.

 

I have to agree at this stage. Haye is far too savvy, and Joshua is VERY green at the moment.

AJ has a lot of potential, but Eddie is having him get used to fighting punch bags and not actually boxing. He is TOO big, getting slow and finds doing a few rounds difficult.


Haye is 10x more dangerous than Whyte, and stylistically and experience wise a complete nightmare for Joshua. The tide will turn though, AJ will get some experience and Haye will age out.

 

How old is Fury? AJ needs to man up. He's ranked in the top ten of all of the key governing bodies now and needs to start acting as such. Nobody wants to see him become the UK's answer to Wilder.

 

Only 15 fights and pro for only just over 2 years. I agree he needs to step it up, but he doesn't need to really rush.

 

Haye knew exactly what he was doing by coming back this year. He sees pound signs when he looks at joshua. His eyes light up. Will hearn put him in with haye though? I'm not so sure. And how long before haye gets bored again and runs off. Fight had to be this year or next year

 

There is so much wrong in this post that i can't be bothered to contest all the points.

Ultimately, a fight now with these two would be pointless. We really don't know what state Haye is in these days. If he is anywhere what he was then he will be too much for AJ. Unfortunately, his flat footed walk down of an unknown opponent who didn't throw a single punch in the fight tells us nothing about Haye today.

 

At least Barry McGuigan can make his point without being an almighty bell end.

 

Haye will be a favourite among the knowledgeable boxing fans.

Haye is an experienced fighter who has fought at the highest level at CW and HW.

Joshua is a green and chinny HW, who clearly will gas like crazy n the later rounds.

Haye could just run for 4-5 rounds, setting traps, wait until 7th or 8th and then explode all over Joshua stopping him in the 8th

 

Haye would knock the kid out for sure.
