well its better to beat the mandatory and keep his belt, as oppose to being stripped and having no leverage.

plus chagaev is more known than the fighters you mentioned, cept maybe adamek

thats the thing tho, a fighter with no heart wouldnt travel to france and fight the undisputed champ, he wouldnt travel to germany and fight a guy a foot bigger than him.

im not saying he will beat wladimir, cos chances are he wont. what im saying is, give the man some time jeezus. if the wba order him to take this fight, he should take it. that way he can go into the vitali match on an equal footing, once he beats him imagine how big a unification would be with wlad!

all 5 belts on the line, plus a personal motive, with the top 2 hw's facing off. now if it takes 18 month for that scenario to play out, i am more than happy to wait.

no point him fighting wlad now, then a mandatory, and then by time he is free vitali has retired.

Why are you defending him lufcrazy? :huh
He should be the guy who would bring excitement back into the HW scene and all he brings is frustration! Don't you want the titles unified now? So ducking isn't an option for anyone anymore. We know the brothers take on this if they have all the belts between them Vitali retires so Wlad can pick up the last (WBC) one. Now Vitali retires because it takes too long (he gets too old) and the belts are still shattered.

And would you really wanna have Haye as a champion if he pulls it off somehow? A guy who is very, very inactive and says to leave boxing soon? Leaving the HW belts shattered again, so we can start from scratch...
Way to bring excitement, I'm starting to dislike this guy more and more as i type this up.

Neither did Haye, that was just an excuse for his weak performance. You see, Chagaev didn't need to run to beat Valuev.

Lol at comparing Fragomeni to Chagaev.

Isn't Fragomeni that guy who was utterly smashed up by Wlodarczyk last Saturday?

I don't blame Haye from a business, and experience point of view. But it just sucks for the fans, if he does the opposite of what he says. I believe he'll avoid the Klitschko's as long as he can, and lose to some other contender anyway...

Hope Chagaev has enough left to make a good showing against Haye. B4 his injuries and loss to Wlad, I'd like Ruslan in a fight against D.Haye. Not sure a good performance against Meehan means anything, but we'll start from there and see if even that's left in the tank.

Who says he will even beat Chagaev??? I like Ruslan a lot in a fight with Haye. He has the chin to weather his big shots, he is highly skilled, and has good power.

    Chagaev tko11 Haye

Oh let this be true, let this be true... At least Chagaev dares to step in the ring with a K brother.

And on short notice no less. Hopefully the Chagaev that shows up is the one that fought Valuev.

New chance for the former boxing champion Ruslan Chagaev: The 31-year-old Uzbek from the Hamburg-stable universe meets in the Rostock town hall in a World Cup after retiring WBA version on the 40-year-old Australian Kali Meehan.
The winner of this heavyweight duel may challenge the British WBA champion David Haye. "I am optimistic that after the long break would be world champion again," Chagaev said at a press event in Rostock. Most recently, he had eleven months against world champion Wladimir Klitschko in the ring and stood clearly lost.
In the second main fight of the evening will WBC champion Vitali Tajbert (Stuttgart) for the first time to defend his WBC championship belt. In the super featherweight, he meets the experienced Mexican Hector Velazquez. A total of seven fights in Rostock on the program.

No why do we have this thread?? In that article is what??? "the winner of this heavyweight duel MAY challenge the British WBA champion David Haye"

I really cannot believe how people latch onto this as to mean absolutely anything at all. Its a BS thread and so many foolishly follow. :patsch
